There're a lot of different ideas with various price points in Soria's Front Yard Book. Easy to read, good photographs and includes resources at the end.
This book has lots of excellent photos of a wide array of houses and climates. While it does not use before and after photos or suggest price conscious ways of improving the look of your front yard, it should provide some ideas. Some to the ideas are trendy rather than timeless-such as textured sidewalks which would be a disaster in the winter or for the handicapped and look too busy with the varying textures of the house.
Beautiful images, practical advice and a sensitivity to "green" techniques when designing landscaping. I jotted down several items for my "landscaping wish list."
Loads of good pictures to give you ideas of how to alter your properties in terms of yards, drives, walks, walls, etc. Of course, in the end, it all boils down to money.
Beautiful photos and beautiful homes, however The title "Front Yard Idea Book" wasn't useful for me. A lovely book to peruse but not practical for the do it your selfers.
