I thought it was very cute! Woods however was not impressed. Maybe when he's a tad bit older.

This story encourages creativity and imagination as opposed to spending a rainy day in front of the television and/or on electronic tablets! With just a few arts and crafts materials, the friends are all set for a fun day – rain or not! The emphasis on free-play and using your imagination is so important at this young age. This is a perfect book for toddlers who will enjoy the brightly colored illustrations, and the storyline encourages participation. I loved how every animal has his/her own part – duck makes a paper hat and a bow, Lamb makes a shield and a dragon, Dog makes a helmet and a sword, and Cow makes a hat and cape. Using toys and comfort items from around the house (blankies and building blocks) the friends create their very own castle and kingdom. This simple, creative tale will inspire many playtime adventures for kids – adults will recall fond playtime memories of their own. Perfect left-brain motivation!

A great book for early readers. It has a lot of big colorful pictures and a very simple storyline. It is about a group of friends using their imagination. They become royalty with simple objects at Meeow's house. It is aimed for beginner readers and is a very short read. I really enjoyed how the animals were named after the sounds they make.

Meeow and friends get creative with a toy box full of treasures like foil, tape, and cardboard. A gentle imagination story that will remind young ones that a red blanket over a table can make a theater. Young listeners always get a kick out of all the characters being named after the sound they make. This would also be a good warm-up before a makerspace activity.

Meeow's friends come over. They pull out a bunch of craft supplies and create costumes and then Meeow uses a blanket, blocks, and table to create a castle.

Told with relatively few words in a large font, this is good for young readers or for when you want a group to follow along with the words.

Inspires kids to use their imaginations and creativity.

My 25 month old loves these books. I am not quite sure though what the appeal is. The books though are illustrated in bright colors, have simple sentences often emphasizing colors/relationships etc. We will continue to check out the other books.

Violet loves Meeow. She says his name in a distinctly different way than her cat "meow" sounds. We just picked up a new Meow book today at the Oak Hill library. Hooray for library day!

Pointy hats and pink capes and a sheep that is named Baa (looked like a bunny to me). Clever Meeow
