Ken Follett is one of the world’s most successful authors. Over 170 million copies of the 36 books he has written have been sold in over 80 countries and in 33 languages.

Born on June 5th, 1949 in Cardiff, Wales, the son of a tax inspector, Ken was educated at state schools and went on to graduate from University College, London, with an Honours degree in Philosophy – later to be made a Fellow of the College in 1995.

He started his career as a reporter, first with his hometown newspaper the South Wales Echo and then with the London Evening News. Subsequently, he worked for a small London publishing house, Everest Books, eventually becoming Deputy Managing Director.

Ken’s first major success came with the publication of Eye of the Needle in 1978. A World War II thriller set in England, this book earned him the 1979 Edgar Award for Best Novel from the Mystery Writers of America. It remains one of Ken’s most popular books.

In 1989, Ken’s epic novel about the building of a medieval cathedral, The Pillars of the Earth, was published. It reached number one on best-seller lists everywhere and was turned into a major television series produced by Ridley Scott, which aired in 2010. World Without End, the sequel to The Pillars of the Earth, proved equally popular when it was published in 2007.

Ken’s new book, The Evening and the Morning, will be published in September 2020. It is a prequel to The Pillars of the Earth and is set around the year 1,000, when Kingsbridge was an Anglo-Saxon settlement threatened by Viking invaders.

Ken has been active in numerous literacy charities and was president of Dyslexia Action for ten years. He was chair of the National Year of Reading, a joint initiative between government and businesses. He is also active in many Stevenage charities and is President of the Stevenage Community Trust and Patron of Home-Start Hertfordshire.

Ken, who loves music almost as much as he loves books, is an enthusiastic bass guitar player. He lives in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, with his wife Barbara, the former Labour Member of Parliament for Stevenage. Between them they have five children, six grandchildren and two Labradors.

This is actually my first Kryon book.

One thing that I really like about Kryon's messages is how he reinforces the idea that beyond 4D human-earth existence, all time is in the "Now" such that at whatever time and place that one is reading the book, he/she is included in the same "Now" when the message is given. When I read this alone, I can attest to the presence of that loving energy that envelopes the room.

I've only read 3 chapters from this Book 9 - picking only those that are relevant to my current thoughts. I thought Kryon's message to the kids in "Bernie, the Bird Who Was Afraid to Fly" was something I could tell my kids. "Nine Attributes of Spiritual Growth" was also relevant.

I'd recommend Kryon's books to open-minded individuals who thirst for more information.

This was on of my favorite Kryon books to date. Easily I would have given a 5+ star rating. Too bad for the story, of some couple whose names I can't even pronounce, added at the end.

The set up for the story at the end had nothing to do with what they talked about and made even less sense. I mean the intro mentions this couple work for some organization(which I have no idea what it is or what it's about). It felt like the whole purpose of the introduction was to ask for donations in the last paragraph. I kid you not, this guy really does. AND he even includes a contact address. This did not have the Kryon vibe to it.

Usually i have experience with what Kryon 'teaches' but I still enjoy hearing of people's personal stories. So I read on because I assumed it was related to the book that just enhanced my warm, fuzzy, hippy vibe. "WTF am I reading" I kept thinking. I mean was it supposed to make sense?
The part I understood is they were looking for asylum from their country. Oh yea and that's when they were introduced to Kryon. Doesn't really apply to the story because they really didn't live as enlightened, ascended light workers.
They would touch on something without details or explanations. This definitely gave me a feeling they were hiding/omitting stuff and forcing other things. (My "feelings" don't lie.)
Oh wait I DID learn something from this story. If you're a captive prisoner in a death camp you DON'T need to manifest, power of intention, co-creation nor any belief in anything except money. Yeah you heard me, it was money-$10000 of it-that got the hubby bribed out of prison. It kind of undermines the messages in the book for those who may still be 'waking up'. What a joke.
Skip the end its anti-climatic with lack of a clear point or purpose.
Though it did make me less annoyed at the previous "chapter" by Jan. Ah I won't get into her just yet. I will say my B.S. meter goes off at her words and a heavy, uneasy feeling creeps over me.... From the first mention of her in Book One....main reason I stay away from the live seminars; the way over priced tickets come second.
Even Kryon always reminds us to use our OWN inner selves to discern is something is truth.

That is all
