The Icky Sticky Chameleon

The Icky Sticky Animal

by Dawn Bentley

Chameleon can use his icky sticky tongue to eat, play and swing. He can use it for almost anything ...But what Chameleon wants most in the world is to find a friend just like him! This is the third 'Icky Sticky' title from Gullane Children's Books. Following on from the success of 'Icky Sticky Frog' and 'Icky Sticky Anteater', this fun book features a unique novelty cover, with a wonderful, washable stretchy tongue and wobbly eyes. The charming interactive rhyme is perfect for reading aloud.

Whereas the companion volume Icky Sticky Frog accurately but unsympathetically portrayed the cycle of nature in which living things eat one another and are eaten in turn, this little books presents an anthropomorphized Peacable Kingdom in which animals of all species chat amicably and kindly help the chameleon in his frustrated quest for love.

Perfect for a 1-3 year old and for parents because it actually has somewhat of a plot

This was cute. The tongue on the front was cute also, but didn't last long. The kids like it when I saw "thwump".

Very sweet book with googly eyes on the cover about a chameleon searching for another chameleon friend with the help of all the other animals and his long sticky tongue.
