My principal recommended this book to me and I am kicking myself for not reading it sooner! In this book Collins describes the form, format, audience, and evaluation of his five types of writing assignments. It sets CLEAR expectations for each type of assignment so the students know which areas they need to focus on, therefore, getting the most out of each assignment.
