I read this for my Intro to African History. I would recommend this to any skeptic about the true history of Africa. As a spoiler, women rose with high ranks through religion as spirit mediums.
This is more for a study. Most of the texts will surprise about life in Africa back then. If those wish to discover more in world history should try reading continent's book.
Yes, these are problems, but do show some great strides in empowerment.
