I am glad I didn’t give this book away like I had first thought of doing I would have missed on a really great read. The only thing that bugged me in this book was the Bliss Sister Ella. Other than that it was perfect.
Georginna Moore has a request for Christmas and this one is going to need some help getting. She wants a new dad. She wants Gabe O’Connor to be exact and she tells that to one of the Bliss’ sisters who every year have a matchmaking festival before Christmas.
Ella Bliss is not one of my favorites in this book at all because she kept trying to get anyone and every single guy except for Gabe, but fate thankfully worked against the woman. She is the reason I didn’t give this book five stars. She kept making me want to shake her and tell her to back off. She didn’t know what was right in this case for anyone.
Gabe O’Connor and Maggie Moore grew up together and were always great friends; life didn’t put them together though instead it dealt a bad card for both of them when their spouses ended up cheating on them with each other which no one knew about until something happened. (I thought it was sad, but poetic in a way.)
Four Years went by without Gabe or Maggie talking, they blamed each other for what happened. Things turned around at a friend’s wedding however. They started talking again which through the book turned into so much more.
Georgie as her mom calls her is one of Maggie’s two daughters along with Joe, Gabe’s son, who I think ended up with a crush on Georgie, helped with the plans constantly trying to get them in the same room. It was wonderful and funny.
The ending of this book was perfect. I loved the Christmas tree decorating, it had me laughing at times too, but I thought Kristine brought Maggie the best man for Christmas. Thanks to their kids and jealousy of Gabe from the men Ella Bliss sent to Maggie.

"A Man for Maggie Moore" is a sweet Harlequin romance about second chances during the holiday season. A contemporary western that's the third in a series, it doesn't necessarily have to be read in order for enjoyment. In short, a group of old Montana ladies, matchmakers that is, get a special request from an 8-year-old to hook up her mommy with the rancher next door. Unbeknownst to the little girl, though, the reason her mommy's a widow is because her cheating daddy died in a car crash while driving off with his lover, the wife of the same neighbor rancher. Lovely drama, but not too overblown, thankfully. The romance is sweet, the characters endearing, even the little ol' romance that sparks between the elderly Ella and Mac. Recommended for a warm hearted read.

This story was okay. It was a bit confusing at the beginning with so many characters obviously part of a series. I also didn't feel the romance develop but passion moved at warp speed. Maggie and Gabe's attraction re-ignites when they attend their friends wedding.

I love how the kids asked the matchmaker of their hometown, to bring their parents together. But the kids actually played the matchmaker in this book.
