Shows the great power of our seemingly lowly prayers--especially the Our Father and Hail Mary. St. Alphonsus says the choice between going to Heaven or to Hell depends on whether or not we pray! Plus, prayer is the key to obtaining all other blessings.

I have a shelf full of religious booklets and picked out a few to read through. The first half of "Prayer: The Great Means of Grace" shows why to pray - with lots of quotes from the saints; the second half explains how to pray - including why to pray the Our Father and Hail Mary. The Exhortation at the end is a perfect segue to my next booklet by St. Alphonsus Liguori: "How To Converse With God".
