OK time-travel romp complete with dinosaurs (of course), alternate timelines, and the fight for equal rights for the male reptilian Heesh who occupy an alternate Earth.
On the level of the low-to-average Doctor Who or Trek novel, not really worth the time unless you are a 12-yr-old who likes dinosaurs. One of those books found in a bargain bin many years ago and only recently rediscovered, this is the type of work that makes me wonder why my own work hasn't been successful.

Published 1994. Grimes apparently only had two SF books ever published. This one is dated by its technology and time travel theories. It's a rather fundamental plot line with little in the way of surprises and a representative of a time when books were shorter and not very complicated in nature.
It did raise certain questions in my mind, primarily the loose attitude towards taking animal life (as in shoot first and ask questions later) while in the prehistoric past. The justification given being that they would have died anyway in the cataclysmic asteroid strike. I'm not sure that's a philosophy that can be justified so easily.
Good for younger readers probably to sample simple science fiction.

A cool concept: time-traveling explorations from parallel earths—one earth populated by humans and the other earth populated by sentient descendants of dinosaurs—investigate the KT boundary. But: the writing is amateur, like fanfic by an 18-year-old living in his mom’s basement, and the author has a weak comprehension of evolution.

Plus, the cover art looks stolen from a 1980’s D&D-inspired fantasy.
