A collection of short stories that take you on a roller coaster ride of emotion. You may find yourself caring about a monster, or hating someone who is picture perfect. You never know what people's motives truly are until you get the story from their point of view.1. Hindsight is the first person account of a killer's creation and lifetime of bad deeds and regrets. Tommy Horton is set to die by the needle in 5 days, but he has a few things that he needs to tell you first.2. Killing Two Birds... is the story of an extremely unlucky woman. A somewhat cautionary tale, showing us all how easy it is to become a victim.3. Mommy is pure horror fun. By all accounts, Lori is a perfect Mother. She worships her two little angels, but while they are at school, she has a whole life of her own. 4. Killers Anonymous tells the story of a group of recently paroled murderers that are forced to attend counseling. They all want to move on with their lives, with the exception of one. Find out who will prevail in this battle of wit and will. This collection has approximately 22,000 words.
This book has 4 really, really good short stories of pure horror, gore, and just plain evil. The first story, Killing two birds....,was a little strange but if you follow the story and don't assume, the twist at the end really gets you thinking. The second story, Hindsight, was my ultimate favorite. When you start reading you think that the story is full of typos, but the beauty of the the story is that it's told in the first person, the killer was not very educated. He's telling his story in the last couple of days before his death sentence is carried out. The author does a masterful job at conveying the sorrow and frustrations that have led up to the killer's choices in life. The third story, Mommy, was absolutely gory and psychotic. Mommy is your average soccer mom, who's taken the plunge off the nutty bridge and knows that a knife is for more than cooking. The fourth, Killers Anonymous, is pure genius. Join the new program to rehabilitate killers and introduce them back into society...that's until something goes horribly wrong. The four stories have a twist, they are written from the point of view of the Killer. Really good, fast read.
Killers is a collection of four stories about killers.
In “Hindsight”, the reader is introduced to serial killer Tommy Horton during his last four days of life on death row as he recounts his life, miseries and heinous acts. Are psychopaths born or made that way? Nature or nurture? Although these questions are not answered this account will have you questioning.
“Killing two birds.....” , is a tale about a stalker killer with a twisted ending.
“Mommy”, Lori loves her two little boys, the rest of humanity? Not so much. You may want to read this before that next Tinder date.
“Killers Anonymous” A 12 step meeting for convicted murderers goes wrong.
Hindsight is half the the book, and is an amazing, thought provoking tale. The remaining three short stories are excellent as well.
If you like your horror with a bit of gore, I recommend this book if you can find it.
It doesn't seem to be available today June 16, 2016.
Update: These stories are now contained in the Collection Evil Within with other similar stories, which you can find here. https://www.amazon.com/Evil-Within-Ch...
I really liked all four stories in this collection, but my favourite has to be Mommy, the story of a normal housewife with extra curricular activities of the stabby kind. Hindsight was my next fav, a story of a man reflecting on his past. Killers Anonymous was interesting, a 12 step program of the most unique kind, and Killing Two Birds surprised me. Really liked this book and would recommend it
In this collection of four short stories you will be taken through so many levels of fear it is crazy. Christine Sutton takes you not only into the minds of the killers in her stories but into their wants and their fears. I think the scariest part of all of these stories is the simple fact that Christine give you ideas of what can really happen and what really goes on in the world we live in. These are very emotional and enjoyable stories to read.
I enjoyed this book. As much as I like horror stories, this really got my adrenaline going. I will have to look up each of the authors and see other books they wrote. This book is not for the weak at heart.
