Amazed, but this is Queen Kenya

Yes, I read it twice in one go...but I will read it all 3 more times cause i can't get enough! I am happy we didn't get go Nawleans yet...I am more than ready to find out the who is really in charge! I feel like Baba may die tho and that makes me sad! The dynamic between Max and Kaz has me ctfurotflmao!!! And if Umfuoma broke his heart, I'm rolling with Lunita to get that ass! These characters are so tangible, I love/hate them! Love them cause Kenya writes them so well, but hate them cause who dah hell can really play them when Netflix gets their heads out they ass and put it on the screen?!! Loved every word to the umpteenth degree! You never fail Queen...Never!!!

King david/blue i’m ready for you. Max/abena?? i’m ready for you. but the real otp will always be max/misha.

Frustrating at times

The fact that Kazimir is so pig headed and controlling is very hard for me to deal with made me almost not finish the book. I'm thankful that he is learning to listen to KD and Baba is a wonderful relief. He still does not realize he is the one pushing Emily and making Juanita come out and that is very frustrating. I Love Max!!! Always has Emily's best interest at heart. This book has many funny parts and I cried when they spoke to Paolo. That was beautiful 3 chapters. So anxious to see how New Orleans is handled.

The Lion, The Mouse and The Wiz

What good is a lion's roar when the mouse has his tongue... in all the right holes..😋...but seriously.. Kaz cannot catch a break..with Lunita's crazy a$$ popping out every time he wants to get his paws bloodied.. and his poor little mouse dilemmas... hiring wet nurses..Max falling into holes of random women.. Blue, KD and Giorgio would be throuple situation... The devil down in NO...otherwise known as ...salvation... Nice pics of Portugal KW...thanks🌺😍

Wow

It's no secret this is my favorite series of all time. That being said, lunita foolery with the gardener has been stricken from the record, that's not Canon, I'm treating that like a fever dream. It was ridiculous & felt like a betrayal of the character, I understand Emily is a sociopath but even they have boundaries. Sometimes I skim through baba dialog because all that talking in riddles without saying anything of substance is useless. I love these characters so much. David has quickly become my fave, he deserves better than blue, hopefully abena will be his true love. I'm kind of grossed out by the concept of wet nurses & find it hard to believe a black mother would be comfortable with that. Big _____ energy is not new york slang. I love every single character. Maxwell is so funny, Valentina is just as wild as ever. I love the butcher. Kaz & Emily are a God tier couple. December can't come fast enough, I wish David was going to new Orleans too.

Kaz is the ultimate book fiancé!

I know Kaz is one crazy character, but the love, attraction and possessiveness he has over Emily is sooooo hot! Every woman wants a protector and he does that and a whole heap more. I’m so invested in their relationship that when the main characters hurt, so do I! As for Max and Valentina, they are hilarious! Literally found myself laughing aloud when listening when out and about shopping. The conversation about “Bug pussy energy!” will forever make me giggle. There are many serious topics discussed in this series, but the comic relief really comes in necessary and is welcomed. I’m also glad the Blue love triangle didn’t take up much time in this book as I found myself skipping over some of it in the last novel. I only really want to know about Kaz and Emily- and this novel satisfied my want for that. Thank you Ms Wright!

indestructible love

“our love is indestructible. Your softness meets my strength, your tenderness my fierceness.” Continuing forward, I glanced at her. “And our combined insanity will protect us from any storm.”

They are each other’s compliments. Through thick and thin to the bloody end they’re love is unbreakable.
Lunita got to go tho. The first chapter of this book had me walking away from the book and picking up another one to read. It was shocking and jarring so I had to let it breathe. Lunita took it to a level that my mind and sensibilities weren’t ready for. But when I picked the book back up and pushed through, I found that Ms Kenya wrote the hell out of this book!
It showed the evolution and growth of the lion moving from a vengeful, bloody iron fisted man to a man who loves, forgives and recognizes that everything doesn’t have to end in bloodshed and bombs. The mouse, despite finding out about Lunita, has risen to the occasion sacrificing herself and her comfort for the lives of others, her people and her family. Lunita is the ultimate villain and this trip to New Orleans has to get rid of her forever. This book also showed growth from all of the characters. Hell Maxwell even showed some - he’s still my favorite.
As a team they take on Lunita, assassin’s, the shadow, kidnappings, murder, death and more. It has been an incredible experience reading this series! Looking forward to the next book!
Exceptional read!

I Really Love this

This is an enthralling series of love, vengeance, loyalty, and danger that had me engage at the first page. I absolutely love these captivating characters that are amazing with a relationship that's so entertaining and filled with drama. The couple has a sizzling chemistry that burn up the pages. The story is full of discovery and family. There are strong men who are handsome, funny and loyal when it comes to the family. This story has interesting twists with lots of action and excitement. It's full of moment's that will have you laughing, crying that's just the beginning of the content, I am happy say that I am really enjoying every book in this series. The Lion and Mouse story is intriguing and enjoyable it's a Mafia experience that will have you crying and laughing in the same page until the end. I love Max, Valentina, Blue, David, Baba and Boris this just a few of the reasons I love and enjoyed every chapter of this book and series. This is one series that I binge on and I couldn't put my reader down until I finished each story in the series if you are like myself you will love and enjoy the Lion and Mouse series because it's definitely by far one of the most enjoyable mafia romance! I really enjoyed The Dirty Flowers book 8 of this series its a must read. I'm excited and on the edge of my seat for what comes next I know it will be a pleasurable experience.

Why would Kenya end it this way, I wanted more!!

Kaz and Emily never fail to amaze me. I love their dangerous love story, I love the madness of Lunita (she’s a real scary killing machine), the amazing main side characters (King David, Blue, Giorgio, Baba, & best of all Maxwell has got to be my absolute favorite of all, man he’s so funny 😂)

I’m scared to read about what’s going to happen once they arrive in New Orleans, how many personalities does Emily actually have? Is she really the main one or is she a side character in her own body? Why the hell is Kazimir Solonik so freaking stubborn and always testing Lunita? Also, I saw King David LOOKING real hard and wonder will he get a new love interest??

So many questions, I hope they’re all answered in Book 8 PLEASE.

I love reading about Emily and Kaz’s life as parents. I love how they support, fight, love each other. I love how they are both as twisted and lethal as the other but most of all I love that they both keep each other grounded and know how to talk sense into each other (most of all Emily being able to talk sense into that hardhead of Kaz’s). I don’t want this world to end, i’m not ready for it 😭

I’m giving this book 4.75-5⭐️

as always Kenya does it again

Kenya Wright has done it again with "Dirty Flowers," continuing the gripping saga from her previous book. Following Pavel's death at the hands of the lion, Emily and KaZ are now raising his son amidst mysterious threats to the boy's life. Emily's alter ego emerges, leading to a shocking turn of events where the Lion kills the man Lunita is in love with. Lunita retaliates in a shocking act of killing the nanny adds another layer of intrigue. The lion's fondness for the nanny adds emotional depth to the story. As the plot thickens, the characters head to New Orleans to confront a psychopath responsible for the killings Lunita and wants to get rid of Emily’s alter ego. Wright's storytelling prowess keeps readers on the edge of their seats. "Dirty Flowers" is a thrilling read, and the story is far from over.

Thank you to NetGalley for this audio ARC. I really loved this book but I wasn't aware it was apart of a series. it's book 7.5 but I continued anyways. I wanna say first of all I'm really impressed with the narrators, they do the Russian accent really well so it makes the audio even better, The female main character of this book has an alter ego that kills and is pretty bloodthirsty. With the tame side of our FMC, she's mom of a baby with her "Lion" Kaz named Amelio. Between the shady Russian stuff and the really spicy sex between Kaz and Emily it's really entertaining. This is considered a dark romance but I don't personally think it is, just really sexy and with acton. If you love spice with shady stuff then I do recommend!

The Lion and Mouse return in book 7.5 of the series. I remember reading a few books back and wondering when we were going to finally address Emily’s alter ego and boy did we. In book #7, in this book and in the upcoming book #8 we finally get to see what created the tinder killer and the chaos she can bring.

Lunita is beyond crazy and the damage she does is on another level. I think this is probably one of the darkest books in the series— and one of the saddest. Both Lunita and Kaz reign down destruction on their “enemies” it’s very messed up and very unhealthy. I really can’t wait to read book 8. I feel like it’s only going to get darker and even more sad. I feel like a lot more loss is coming to the family.

Too good as usual!!

I really love this series. Usually, when there are too many books, a series can start to drown in itself. But not here!! I actually put off reading sometimes to savor the time between books. I did this here. But, it puts me behind the other Patreons. 🏃🏾‍♀️

Saying all that to say... one can not be disappointed in choosing the Lion and Mouse series 🦁🐀.
Now, Kas arrogance got on my nerves a bit. I just know he is going to be disrespectful in New Orleans... goodness!!
Man, if Emily is not the host per se, that will be... whoa... don't know how Mz. Kenya will spin THAT!!

Can't wait to see if she can truly integrate all her selves. Anddddd the New Orleans world Mz. Kenya will have us in. I'm so excited, rubbing my hands together...🍷💃🏾🤸🏾‍♀️

Raw Emotions

This book takes you on so many different emotional levels. I just love Kaz and Emily as a couple. For Kaz to be so cold-hearted with the Brotherhood, but Em and the ones he truly loves there is a whole other side. The scene with him talking to Em on the phone when he wanted to kill the gardener's family, it was too much. I almost started crying because I felt the raw emotion between him and Em.
The final scene with Kaz and Lunita, man, oh man, oh man. I cringed! I knew Lunita was coming out. I was so proud of Kaz pulling out, my man..LOL
I can't wait for book 8.

Absolutely brilliant

I love this series. I struggle to stop reading and have a few middle of the night finishes with the books.
The banter is absolutely on point, with many laugh out loud moments (for example, the wet nurse interviews are jokes). I feel as if I deeply know each of these characters and I care for many of them.
The scenes between Kaz and Emily are super hot, and I am Team David all the way, because Giorgio OCD is way too much.
Lunita is absolutely terrifying and I hope the New Orleans trip is a success for Emily's sake. I know the trip is going to be a right blast and can't wait for the next book in the series.

Lunita has to go, Period! She’s messy and I don’t like that. Plus she really hurt Kaz and violated Em. Kaz had me stressing with his pettiness. He said he’s a Leo but baba said he may be a cancer and I can see it, lol! This series needs to be on STARZ because the DRAMA is chef kiss. I can’t wait to get the HEA for the Gio, Raph and Louie. I have a feeling that KD is smitten over Abena but we will see because Emily said that Blue will need to make a decisions by the time the come back from NO. I hope we get a book for with them finding the ghost and the love triangle drama! Then we need a book when Max went to Tokyo and what happened in Italy with his “wife”.?! I need a book with Louie because he stayed back in Nigeria!!! I see you Louie 👀. There’s so much going on … so much to unpack…..so many side stories that we can get! December can’t come fast enough!!! Kenya! Keep them coming!!!

The Saga Continues

Ok. This book was good, but I'm ready for more. I'm a little concerned about Emily, her DID, and how things will play out in NO. I am glad Kaz is slowly getting there. I really dislike Lunita now... What she did was too much for me as I was really getting to like the new addition to the extended family. The changing relationship with Paolo in this book was very emotional, but I think it was necessary. I'm excited to see where things go with the other men, both new and old, to this storyline.

BTW - I love the cover.

I didn’t realize this was a series going in, and unlike some romances you really do need to read the previous ones for this one to work for you. The writing is great, but ultimately there is too much violence and an additional plot point that make me know the series isn’t for me personally to read the other books. I’m sure if you have come this far in the series you will enjoy this installment and are more invested in these characters.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I received this ARC courtesy of NetGalley and Kenya Wright. I missed the earlier books in the series; however, this one was a fairly interesting read... nothing like a big, brawny Mafia-type of man (The Lion) getting cowed and led around by his nose by a petite, pretty woman (The Mouse). Everyone seems to have their own level of psychosis and are hypersexual. This kind of reminds of the Harlequin Romances that I used to sneak and read in middle school...only raunchier. I'd recommend this book to anyone with a bit of voyeur in them.

simply amazing

I cried A LOT with this book Kendra. When Olga died, when Kaz and Emily shared with Paola about his parents and that little boy screamed..as a mother I felt that in my soul; and when Emily begged Kaz not to kill the gardener’s family. But I also laughed my ass off. Maxwell is a riot as is Valentina. Big Pussy Energy…#dead. King David is sooooo fly to me. Stealthy badass. Definitely looking forward to the next book.

I’m still at the edge of my seat and can’t wait to read the next installment. I initially did not like how the plot started and the story changed. I wanted the Lion and Mouse’s love to remain pure. That didn’t happen and it caused me to not want to continue the journey. But I will continue on and see how this pans out. As always, the supporting characters are a hoot!! I can never read enough regarding Maxwell and Lemonisha.

The Lion, the Mouse and Lunita

I love Kaz and Emily but sometimes Kaz be going a little too far. Yes I understand about the gardener but Emily tried to warn him that Lunita would be mad but he didn't listen. I'm glad K.D. finally picked his balls up and decided to do what was best and not what keeps Kaz happy. I really want KD with someone else tho and Gorgio and Blu together. I just love me some Max!!! I can't wait to see how part 8 plays out.❤️❤️

Another great book!

I don't know why I waited so long to read this, but it was so great! Each story of the mouse and the lion shows the many layers these characters have, as well as the others. This story made me laugh and cry. There were times when I was angry and sad, but in the end I am hopeful. I am on pins and needles waiting for the next book!

Kaz and Em are my parents but now they’re really parents 😩 so cute and still so fun. Kaz and max together keep me so entertained. Love David for Kaz. I’ll love this group always.
