When dogs go missing, one boy will find out why. And the answer is out of this world.
Nothing gets past Logan. When he observes that the neighborhood’s dogs are mysteriously vanishing, he suspects nothing less than a full-scale alien dognapping invasion. The adults don’t believe him, of course, so he enlists his friends to investigate and soon they make a shocking discovery.
Now man’s best friend needs help. Fast. Suddenly, Logan and his team are on a mission unlike anything known to man.
A hilarious, heartwarming tale of hound-saving heroics, Invasion of the Dognappers will be gobbled up by middle-grade readers.
This book was full of surprises and smiles and a little bit of fear. Logan Lonergan is a 10 year old boy who is convinced there are aliens dog napping the dogs in his town. Him and his three friends started the Intergalactic Canine Rescue Unit and are on the hunt for the thieves. Little do they know, they've been made. A story about friendship and morals in a small town called Nelsonport is a great read for 3rd grade to middle school. I've never given science fiction a chance and I think this book might have just changed my mind. Read if you'd like to find out if Logan or the dogs ever get back home...
Invasion of the Dognappers by Patrick Jennings is a fascinating book!It is fun to read books that are fantasy to get away from the real world. What I mean by this is it has some parts that seem like realistic fiction while other parts seem like straight up fantasy! For example,Logan, the main character, was going on the bus to school and saw a dog who's leash was attached to a stop sign. Then when he sits down on the seat in the bus he looked out the window and the dog wasn't there! Its collar and leash were left still attached the stop sign.Is that even possible?I hope and think it's not. This book can be similar to other fantasy books because, well,it's in the genre, fantasy! If I had to recommend this book to someone it would be to people who just need to escape,or a break, from the real world.
Invasion of the Dognappers By Taj Sandberg Period 5\6 The fiction book Invasion of the Dognappers by Patrick Jennings is a action packed book for kids that love adventure, aliens, and of course dogs. The author describes every scene in the story with very descriptive words that make you will feel like a character in the book. This book will take you from a boy that sees a dog disappear to an alien spaceship that is under water. The book is a well composed book that doesn’t leave any detail out. Like when the boy named Logan get taken to the alien spaceship. If this novel was a series I would totally read the next book but sadly it’s not. This story will make you burst with joy after you read the ending because it is so happy. If you are in 4th to 6th grade and you are looking for a exciting book this is the one for you.
This book was amazing, funny, weird and a whole lot of fun to read. This book is about a boy named Logan who is curious about what is happening to the got in the neighborhood. All off the sudden one by one dogs disappear from outside. Logan gathers a couple of his friends and look for the dogs. Logan and his friends call themselves the CREW for a special code name. Every day they look for the dognappers; finally they find out who is. And I am not telling you have to read what happens next.
I borrowed this from our online library as a kindle book because it was about dogs and I thought Audrey would like it. It was different from what I expected, but the kids enjoyed it. It started out realistic, so I thought the boy was going to learn a lesson about how there aren't really aliens, but then it went to sci-fi and there really were aliens in the book. Kind of weird, but not bad.
I tried to get my daughter to read this for me, but it didn't work. It was okay. If you are in fourth grade, you might like it. I read it for a review for LMC and that is the only reason I would ever read this. The end.
Drolly humorous, this starts off as realistic fiction: Logan is convinced that dogs are being snatched up by aliens, and nobody believes him but his force of personality pulls them into searching for the dogs (and aliens). Then the aliens kidnap him, too.
Good choice for 8 year old boys. Logan is obsessed with aliens and is convinced a hairy man is taking dogs. I liked that he really does encounter aliens, and they are taking dogs. Logan saves the day, of course.
This book was kind of silly, but I think that boys would like it. Dogs have been disappearing and Logan and his friends are sure that an alien is taking them. As it turns out they are being taken by aliens. Logan and his friends are on the case to solve the mystery and get the dogs back.
