What a great short story for toddlers! Very colourful and the content is full of different creatures doing different things. Each page you turn introduced a new creature such as a caterpillars and worms.
I read this out aloud infront of a year 1 class and they made the link with the very hungry caterpillar once they noticed the caterpillar eating in this story. It gave me the chance to sing the days of the week song with them, which they remembered.
Porbably the best part of the book is its pop-up feature, where each creature pops out of the page so children can have a good look. This worked to my advantage since earlier during the day I was teaching the children about levers and they noticed that the pop-up book had a lever in it, which is great to draw on cross curricular links with Design & Technology.
The literature isn't too difficult and the book also uses onomatopeia such as Splash and Boing.
I'd suggest it is suitable for children up to the age of 6/7.

* A cute pop-up book that introduces young readers to rhyming; could be useful for students with disabilities/sensory needs who need to touch or feel, or for students who may need something to redirect or refocus their attention in a positive manner, because it's a pop up book

The Very Busy Bee is a great book for younger children because it is a rhyming book. The book also teaches students about flowers and bees. The pop up book is good for children who need extra help with reading.

I like the colorful images in this series. It is fun to share with a little one and the story is cute. My nephew loved it.
