No Strings Attached

Rate this book
Lucas is sure he’s made a mistake—it has to be painfully obvious he’s never been to an underground gay club before. He doesn’t do things like this—he’s too shy, too reserved. He certainly doesn’t expect to be felt up by a total stranger as soon as he walks in the door. But just as he’s talking himself into leaving, the hottest guy in the place with the most beautiful green eyes he’s ever seen pulls him onto the dance floor. Green Eyes insists on “no names, no strings…” and just this once, Lucas is inclined to agree.

I live in Leigh on Sea, a small seaside town just outside London on the coast of Essex, about ten minutes from Southend, which boasts the longest pier in the world. I live with my husband and two ever-growing children, who I let think are the boss of me; along with two dogs who actually are.

As the wonderful Beatrix Potter said, “There is something delicious about writing the first words of a new story. You never quite know where they’ll take you.” I know exactly what she means.

3.7 Stars - a tiny mini erotic tale - just fun and steamy

I've read several (three) free shorty stories this Saturday.
No Strings Attached, was the last one and it was another good and well written novella. Just 14 pages with most steamy heat (..an erotica romance), not much of a story with real content, but with a sweet twist at the end.

Worth reading, don't miss it.

My first Lisa Worrall read, and I'm just sitting here with that stupid-looking happy satis-smile. ...One more time today.
‘The practical Lucas in his head was telling him to cut and run, that he had no idea who this guy was, that he didn’t do random hook-ups. The other Lucas, the one who had made tonight sound like a good idea, seemed to be pulled toward the beautiful man as if he were operated by unseen strings’

Luke who is a bit shy and a quiet guy don't usually visit these underground gay clubs. This particular evening is Luke here to see if he might be able to meet someone. Already in the queue outside is a gorgeous green eyed guy watching him and trying to make eye contact. But Luke is shy and a bit afraid...

‘Green Eyes wasted no time. He grabbed fistfuls of Lucas’s T-shirt and forced him up against the wall. Green Eyes then slanted his lips onto Lucas’s. Their tongues collided, their warm breath swirling around them like a gentle mist when it hit the cold air as they tongue-fucked each other’s mouths.’

Hot, fun and sweet. Yum! A really cute cutie-story to quickly devour.

I LIKE - happy as a twittering songbird

This was an extremely short but quite hot read from Lisa Worrall, with a very unexpected twist at the end. It features Lucas, who is apparently going to a gay club for the first time, and a guy with green eyes, who gives him the once-over in the queue outside the club, and then finds him inside. Cute.

Short hot story about a random hookup in a gay club. Lucas seems very hesitant and usnsure, but when 'Green Eyes' aproaches him, he lets go of all his inhibitions. I loved the slight twist at the end!

This review can be found at Brief Encounters Reviews.

Please note that this was previously published by Torquere Press under the same name so for some readers it may sound familiar, however I had not read it before.

The blurb pretty much says it all. The story is told from Lucas’ perspective and he is totally out of his element going to a club and his awkwardness at the whole process is clear, first when some hottie in the line gives him the once over and again when the minute he walks in some twink has his hands all over him. Just as he’s thinking this is the worst idea of his life, the green-eyed hunk from the line tells him no names, no strings, lets dance.

After some groping, loosely described as dancing, the man he refers to as Green Eyes leads him out to the alley where some very hot desperate anonymous sex occurs. Because it’s told from Lucas’ perspective, you don’t know anything about the other guy or what he’s thinking but it was fun to hear Lucas’ internal struggle as he tries to reconcile what he’s doing with the other side of him that kisses after four dates and fucks after ten. Sex in an alley with a stranger is way out of his league, but just this once he ignores the voice in his head. I enjoyed the writing style and have read a couple by the author in anthologies but I will definitely check out some of her other solo works.

There is little bit of a twist at the end that I rather suspected, but it’s still a nice read for when you are on your lunch or just before bed for a bit of steamy nasty back alley action, which definitely fits the bill sometimes.

This is a very short story that can be read in under ten minutes, but despite it's short length, it packs a punch. This is a hot little read with a well-developed story line and characters. It's got a sweet little twist at the end that makes for a great happily ever after.

The story is told from the POV of Lucas, who seems to be maybe the shy type. He's definitely never been out to a gay club before so he's a bit nervous and unsure of himself. He spots "green eyes" in the line outside the club. Once they make it inside, it's not long before "green eyes" finds him and they start dancing briefly before they move out to the alley out back and things get really hot from there. Lucas marvels at how out of character this is for him, but he goes with it. It's interesting to see what Lucas is thinking. And then there is a really nice twist to the story. Really fun story and well worth the few minutes of my time.

Lucas hits an underground gay club for the first time and feels completely out of his depth. He catches the eye of an attractive green-eyed guy and he experiences a night to remember.

Shy Lucas hooks up with ‘Green Eyes’ and acts out of character for the first time and loves every minute of it. This is a hot and sexy short that will get you hot under the collar and leave you panting for more. I loved it and thought the twist at the end was brilliant.

I recommend this to anyone who would love a short quick fix of hot sex and a surprise at the end.
