I enjoyed reading about the life of one of America's leading yacht designers. He did finally admit that Ranger's design was Burgess', with some changes thrown in by him. I liked it that he was willing to share personal feelings.
still going through slowly - interesting if you know him or of him. nice tale of a nice man with lots of good pictures. finally finished - enjoyed the gentle humble pace of the book and its story of this very long and fulfilled life of America's greatest yacht designer since, and perhaps including, Nat Herreschof. The photos are enhancing and the recollection of some fine boats made this a fine fireside read for me. As I knew Olin, briefly in the 1960s with the Americas Cup races of '62 and '64 it was especially fun. nice that his life is captured in print.
