4.5 A good biography of the brothers. I did feel the author focused perhaps too much on Jacob and left Wilhelm (specifically regarding his work on the fairytales) out of the loop. But I did learn more about the ins and outs of their interesting and unique lives.

A long (in time) and somewhat difficult read as I read German so seldom now and when I do it's generally one detective novel every two years or so. Having said that it was an interesting book both with regards to the Grimm's lives and the times in which they lived which were very much a time of change.
