I was a very young child when I read this and I loved it.

Clancy moves upstairs to the attic and becomes a very cross cat when a new kitten comes to live in the house.
My Grandma Dunn had this book and I LOVED it. I think it was one of the first books I ever read by myself. Clancy learns that his people have TWO hands they can pet with, and that the kitten wasn't so bad to be around.
I tried to find this book in bookstores a few years ago and had no luck, and now I see why - published in 1975, some of the copies are selling for $65 - $105! I probably drew on the copy Grandma had. That's what I used to do with books. I circled the words I knew. :)
