Writing Online is more than a writing book. It's a road map to show you how to make a great living from writing.
Writing Online teaches you not only how to write copy that sells, but also marketing, blogging, social media, SEO, list building, and how to build a strong reader or fan base.
This is the book I wish I'd read when I first started writing for a living. A book that would have saved me lots of wasted time and money and made me realize my dreams a bit earlier.
I want to help you realize your dreams without stumbling as I did.

Sean's voice comes through very clearly and positively, with a healthy dose of the reality of just how hard the task ahead is for a writer looking to make it today. Most of this information wasn't new to me, since I follow his podcast with Johnny and Dave at SPP (Self Publishing Podcast) but having it in a nice written form is a good refresher, for when you just want the kick in the seat in the pants and not all the laughs and stories. (That's what I do my dishes to. Seriously, if you're feeling lonely, listen to these guys. They're funny and warm and work their buns off.) It might not seem like a ton of information, or lots of technique, but that's the point, it's work and there's simple, direct processes and mind sets that work. If you're looking for the magic to crack open the wealth of the internet, look elsewhere. This isn't for you, but if you're looking for someone to give you a nod and a hand up, Sean's there for you.
Sean Platt offers a lot of sound advice in this book. I was only a couple of chapters in when I knew this was going to serve as one of my go-to references. It's more than a how-to guide--and it covers a broad range of topics, from editing to balancing good writing habits and marketing to practical pep talks about the writing life in general. I definitely recommend it to anyone who seeks to write professionally!
Well-written and a good overview of what it will take to succeed as a writer online, even several years later. What I respect most about Sean Platt is that he's the best articulator out there. His nonfiction writing is both personal and informative, and he's well on his way to achieving his legacy of being prolific.
I would definitely recommend this. It's a bit long, and not all of it will apply to everyone, but there's a lot of wisdom to be had here.
Un guide qui en couvre large sur les bases de l'écriture en ligne (blogue, rédaction professionnelle, rédaction SEO, rédaction publicitaire). J'adore la non-fiction de Sean Platt, son style est vivant et les infos sont passées sans détour.
