Peter de Sève’s work spans four decades and various media, from magazines, books, and television commercials, to Broadway posters and character designs for animated feature films. He is perhaps best recognized for his many covers for The New Yorker magazine and his character designs for the blockbuster Ice Age franchise (Scrat is a veritable international celebrity). De Sève has also contributed to such films as Finding Nemo , Robots , The Little Prince , and The Grinch, to name only a few. He is currently busy at work on various animated projects in both the United States and Europe.

Normalize logging non-novels on Goodreads! (especially when they count toward your reading goal)
All jokes aside, this was one of the most inspiring and engaging pieces I've had the pleasure of reading. I borrowed this book from the library because it had pretty pictures. I had no idea who Peter was prior to this reading, but I learned that he designed characters for some of my favorite animated movies! He inspired me as a child and did so again with this book. Immaculate work.

A treasure. I didn't even know about the Bill Waterson interview at the back. Make that a treasure twice over.
