It’s a dream, a hallucination…. Alice knew exactly what her future held and was determined to make it happen. In two weeks, she would finally escape the oppressive walls of her parents' house and savor the freedom of college. Too bad life doesn’t always go according to plan. Now she finds herself in a surreal world of the impossible, where nothing is as it seems. Amidst the chaos, she is resolute in her mission to defeat the Jabberwocky and return home without perishing. Unfortunately, her journey has been joined by the Red Knave, a handsome distraction she wasn’t expecting.
Alices come and go, that's the way of Wonderland, and the Knave has grown accustomed to the sight and feeling of fresh faces. But this new Alice stirs his curiosity, making him question the world around him. What would it taste like to kiss her lips in the darkness as he held her, even for a fleeting night? Only one thing stands in his the Mad Hatter and his dark voices that wish to possess her at all costs.
Journey into a realm of insanity where you just might lose more than you bargained for. This book contains scenes and material that’s suitable for mature audiences. Please see all triggers on my website for a list of possibly offensive subjects.
S. N. Hunt, a passionate writer, immerses herself in the world of romance through reading and writing. When she’s not indulging in these pursuits, she cherishes moments with her loved ones, including her husband and furbabies. Embracing nature, she delights in summer camping trips and fishing escapades. Cooking, baking, and savoring delicious food are among her pleasures. Above all, she values and appreciates the support of her family, for which she expresses gratitude to God every day.
I read this as an arc via BookSirens for an honest review.
The story was engaging and I liked how the characters and wonderland it self was absolutely mad and I was intruiged by most of it. I read the trigger warnings before reading and sometimes they don't bother me but sometimes they do. And in this story they did bother me a bit. Still think the story does a good job with making it feel like a dark romance reteling of wonderland.
Happy release day "I am not strange, weird off, nor crazy. My reality is just differen than yours" Lewis Caroll in Alice in Wonderland
as a Dark/Erotic Romance retelling of Alice in Wonderland, this is easily a 5/5 Where the original is child-friendly satirical, this one is most definetly Adult oriented reimagining.
with explicit hot tamales, spicy scenes of course however, it is not only the well written smut chapters that draws in to the book, but also the novel imagination of the author that brings forward a whole new plot line to wonderland. and frankly, I prefer this version to the original one.
Wonderland is facing the wrath of the Red Queen and her Jabberwocky, so the Great Mother must summon an Alice again to save the day through using the Vorpar Blade. in wonderland, Alice meets the sexy Mad Hatter
but its the Red Knave that leaves her Hot and bothered. the three of them go on a quest to save Wonderland, where we see Alice's slow descend into maddness
The book will keep you intrigued in its action pack events and the familiar characters we grow up with In addition to the three main characters, I especially loved that of the Caterpillar. The author really knew how to weild him/her into a diverse representation of the LGBT community, which in my opinion, was a stroke of genius that suited the character.
we also meet knew characters on this journey who opens the road to further sequels
as a side note:
this book was inspired by a previous one written by the author called Ally and her Madd Hatter And although it was origanlly inteded for Ally to be book 1 and Alice book 2, the author thought it best to make this one book 1 nevertheless you could read each book as a standalone, but reading both will clarify so many things

Ally and Hatter are my first choice, partly because I read that book first, and partly because well, Hatter. (If you understand, you will know, and if you don't understand, you never will.) But this was a good prequel; it was nice getting to know Ally's parents and their adventures, seeing Caterpillar before their transformation, learning more about how Wonderland works, meeting Lily (I wouldn't mind a book about her), seeing more of the Fog, going to the Red Keep. Hunt's writing is improving, and her storytelling and imagination continue to be excellent. I can hardly wait for the next installment.

Wonderland will always be my second home. It will always be the place where I feel welcome. Where I wish I could really travel myself. Where I will always be amazed and surprised. Wonderland is different in every retelling. It's even different every time I grow a few years older and return to the original to reread it. So, I grab every Wonderland retelling I come across. I already read Ally and her Mad Hatter and I was therefore really excited to grab this arc from BookSirens.
I'm not entirely sure why this installment didn't grab me as much as the sequel did. Maybe it's simply my current mood. Maybe I read the book on the wrong day or at the wrong time. For some reason I wasn't as invested in this book as I was in the previous one. Maybe it says more about Ally's story than it does about this one. Maybe reading these stories in order might be a better idea, especially because then the conclusion of some kind of big issues is still to come.
I still love this version of Wonderland. I love the idea of a Mother and a Father. I love the idea of characters being reborn. I love how the author included so many familiar moments and locations and characters. This book, maybe even more so than the sequel, really has our Alice visit some very familiar scenes. Although this Alice is not a seven year old and therefore at least trying to be a little more reasonable when doing or not doing things.
I think the issue that bothers me the most is that I wasn't really invested in the relationship between Alice and her Knave. The sex was hot, this author is clearly amazing when it comes to sex, but it's clear from the start that their romance is not the epic love you'd wanna read about in a romance novel. I guess that's partly what the author is going for, but it left me with this feeling of wanting more after reading this book. This relationship is not relationship goals.
Like I said, I think you will really enjoy this book better if you read it before Ally (which is the recommended reading order now anyway) and then you also know that this story WILL lead somewhere and all questions will be answered in the next read. Just like you'll get the epic love story in the next book. I promise!
This is a different twist on Alice and wonderland. I really enjoyed this book, with the twisting/madness of the characters from wonderland. If you are looking for something steamy, this will hit the spot. But, there are triggers. Make sure to read them before reading the book. I'll read more from this world.

Note I read 'Ally and her Mad Hatter' first. Can't say I was particularly wowed by anything in this book. If you're looking for steam it was there, but the plot was not. I feel like this story was written as a background filler for 'Ally and her Mad Hatter' instead of just being written as a story if that makes sense. The book was too rushed and I didn't feel the connection between the MCs. They were declaring love and obsession for each other at the very beginning and by the end I still didn't know what they knew about each other that would cause this love and obsession. Hope later books in the series are better.

Note: I had read the second book in this series earlier this year, and it follows on this story, so I did experience this story differently on account of knowing what the end would be.
Further note: pay attention to the content warnings of the book before reading. This book is not intended for readers younger than 18 years of age.
This book is a wonderfully tragic and twisted take on Alice in wonderland. Naturally, as this is a romance novel, the heroine is an adult.
This author takes a different approach to the story, having this book as the start of a series, and incorporating some never before seen elements to the story that I loved. The story, that was already dark and whimsical in its original form, has been retold in a thrilling way.
Alice unwittingly finds her way into Wonderland, a dark and twisted world filled with immortals. She must venture through this world and complete the task allotted to her, meeting all sorts of characters on her way. On this journey, Alice discovers love and madness, in several forms, to round off an exciting story.
Not all of the characters of the series are given a lot of time in this book, but the story still feels complete and the world building is wonderful. Moreover, the character development is exciting and tragic, with glimpses into the characters that will leave you devouring this story.
This story is filled with intrigue, angst, medium-fast burn romance that is also very spicy. There is also violence, gore and just a little madness. This is truly an exciting and unique retelling with an ending that you won’t expect if you read this book first!
I received a copy of this book through Booksirens, and willingly leave this honest review!
"Maybe because you are. Do you know what it's like to live forever, trapped in a world of madness? It's lonely and dark. Every Alice brings with her a light, a glow at the end of a long tunnel. Who wouldn't crave to possess that spark?" this is the first book i’ve read by S.N. Hunt and i am obsessed!! this reminds me of alice madness returns i love it so much. i’m on a binge of re tellings this year and i am in love love love with this one. from the characters and the plot it’s hard to tell who’s really good or bad. there’s so many twist and turns that made me stay up to finish it (till 3AM) just to have that ending i need to read book 2 right after i finish this i cannot wait. the way that S.N. Hunt describes things i can just see it like a movie. if you like re telling, dark fantasy, alpha hero’s, and spice!! then you have to add this to your tbr check TW it gives summer and fall vibes at the same time probably because it’s dark and i imagine it as a darker wonderland not all bright colors.(pls tell me you understand what i mean) I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I read Ally and Her Mad Hatter first and I happy that I read this one as well. It was great to see the story unfold cause you get snippets of it in the second book and while reading this, I was able to think of the second book and know what they were talking about.
This is a short book but I really did enjoy it. The dark retelling as well as the *spicy* aspects make it so much fun to read. I never really had any thoughts to the Red Knave but this gave me different feelings toward him.
While I wanted the second book longer, I did enjoy the length and pace of this book. I felt that it was just right. Some things could have been elaborated on more, but nothing that requires it to be super long in pages!
I received this ARC from BookSirens in exchange for a voluntarily review! Thank you!!
I devoured this book. At first it was pretty akin to Alice in Wonderland but then it just kept getting better and more insane! It reminded me a little bit of Alice Madness Returns but the lord in this book was unique in it’s own way without straying too far off the path for Alice. The book was intense and had some big scenes that just left me shocked. And then plot twists galore!! I really want to read the next book.
This was such a good one! I loved Alice in Wonderland as a kid and this was a perfect spin on it. I really liked the first one Alive and her mad hatter, this was a good one that kind of went back and told us a bit about what happen beforehand. The characters are perfect together and the story was great! I can’t wait to read another one.

I absolutely love a Wonderland retelling but this one might be a winner! It took me a minute to stop thinking this Alice was the same as Ally and her Mad Hatter, but I love that we got a bit of backstory for the Hatter and finally found out exactly what happened with Alice. I love how we were able to see the darkness and madness that reign in wonderland but we didn’t lose any of the wonder. Add in the spice and tension between Alice, the Knave, and the Hatter, and everything feels so much more intense. I didn’t know how much I needed to read what happened in the beginning, but this is the origin story I’m so glad I got the chance to read! I can’t wait to see what the Great Mother will show us next ❤️
This author is fast becoming one of my favorites. I read Alice in Wonderland as a child and this is nothing like my fairy tale!! It is awesome!! Please read the triggers. I loved Alice, hatter and her knave who came from her world originally. I do not think anyone in Wonderland is sane especially one queen and her jabawocky. There are lots of sexy moments and plenty of dark moments. I loved it!!
This book was the origin story I didn’t know I needed! While my heart broke for a character or two, learning about the Knave and Alice’s relationship, and her friendship with the Hatter, I just…it was so wonderful and I can’t wait to go back to Wonderland. The Great Mother is calling… ❤️
10/10 would read again 10/10 would DEFINITELY recommend
I actually didn't realize that this was the first book in the series, as I had read Ally and Her Mad Hatter previously.
I have enjoyed the two books I have read so far. The different take and dark side presented on the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland book is really interesting. I like the author's style and the pace of the book is good as well. There is a lot going on in parts of the book, so the reader needs to pay attention.
I am definitely looking forward to the next installment in this series.

I read the second book first, which may have ruined a couple of things for me, but it was still AMAZING!
Every woman dreams of finding her true love in a fantasy, and this is what we get here. It touches on some tough issues, but it is so wonderfully written, you will feel you ARE the story!
I am so grateful to have received a copy from the author, that I want EVERYONE to enjoy it as much as I did.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I think this book sits squarely in my “liked” category. The plot was thought out and I feel the world and character development was decent. There was some fluff where I would have preferred more substance, but I do think the book flowed well overall. It did have some tropes and content that I’m not a huge fan of, but I think people who like those would enjoy this book. Alice and her Knave was definitely not lacking in spice, so if you’re looking for a dark romance and like Wonderland this book is for you!
The writing is fantastic, the world building is amazing, the plot twists (while paying homage to the original) are epic and not what you expect at all. My favorite was the twist on the jabberwocky!!! Dark romance, lots of spice, and a healthy dash of madness makes for a wonderfully good time reading!
things come together in the way of wonderland, out of order but you get the picture of how things came to be in Ally's book. loved seeing the back story of her parents and how they came to be and why Hatter was the way he was. there was some banter. sad moments. spicy moments 3/5 characters were all great! it leaves you wanting more and more of what this world has to offer!
I loved the story of Ally and the Hatter and I'm so glad that Alice and the Knave got their story too. It has a very different feel to it and explains so much about wonderland and the dynamics of everything. Terrific story.

A super original take on the lovely legend of Alice in Wonderland. Alice finds herself in a dark and scary place. Where danger and madness looms around every corner. She finds two friends to protect her along her journey. There’s passion and madness aplenty. The world building is astounding.
For me there was just a little too much detail. It distracted me from the flow.
This a dark and smutty retelling of Alice in Wonderland. I really like the take on Wonderland, and the imagination and world were great. This book serves as a prequel to Ally and her Mad Hatter, which I also thoroughly enjoyed. You can read either as a standalone, but I found it helpful to have read them both.
This book felt like it was setting up a broader world and more future stories, with some side characters being introduced. The story telling has improved over the first book, and this book is just as dark and steamy as well.
I am looking forward to more in this series.

So, I always love a good Alice in Wonderland retelling and when it’s written for a more adult audience, that’s even more fun because a lot of the barriers that restrict imagination are removed. This one definitely takes advantage of that.
Our main character Alice is fun to be around and I enjoy her interactions. But it’s hard to stand out in wonderland and I find that to be the case with most stories like this. Alice is a fine character but I can’t think of anything super interesting about her. Like I said, she works fine but I think all the other characters, with their zaniness, tend to overwhelm her. But I do appreciate the reference to her intelligence and cunning. She takes charge.
I do feel the pace is a wee bit fast. Not enough to be a true detriment but with everything happening, I would have appreciated some more time to breathe. It’s a hard balance to get right.
The atmosphere here is a lot of fun. The writer is very good at establishing a feel for places and even people, particularly the Mad Hatter. It makes you feel a certain way which is always a good trait for the story.
All in all, a fun and creative twist on the Alice story while still keeping all the fun traits that make it what it is.
This was an interesting remake of Alice in Wonderland that blends the wonders of the original story into some modern settings and situations to create a new and unique tale that is still a bit true to the original tale. It made for a very interesting read.
I don’t know what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised by this exciting retelling of Alice in wonderland. This author definitely puts her own spin on this classic and I was here for the ride.
I picked up the second book in this series because I was hoping to be wowed. I guess I'll see when I reach that point.
Alice and her Knave is mostly a steamy story, there is a real lacking for an in depth plot. I found out this was supposed to be the second in the series, but they switched it around. For me, it kind of set the scene for the next book, but it still lacks the deeper connections I wanted from the world and its story.
The plot just seems rushed and contrived. It was hard to see the connection between Alice and the Knave. They were just suddenly obsessed with each other and meant to be? There wasn't a real connection felt to me regarding their relationship, which makes me feel like this was rushed just to have something to explain the second book.
Hoping from the other reviews I have read I will enjoy the second one more!

‘Alice and her Knave’ is steam-steam-steam, so this one is for you if that is what you are looking for.
The plot is another story altogether. The story was too rushed and I did not get to know the characters as well as I would like to. I also felt that the love story between the main characters was a bit superficial and hard to get into. There was a lack of something that I cannot really put my finger on.
