It's brains over brawn in this new isekai adventure! One day when leaving work, a salaryman dies and is reborn in another world as the weak child of the noble Louvent family. Using his "appraisal" skill, which lets him see the stats of others, young Ars Louvent recruits the best people to his side in order to turn his country around.
LICIA’S MOMENT With Mireille now a full member of his camp, Ars turns his attention to ending the stalemate in the war of succession. Rosell proposes that they attempt to bring the neighboring province of Paradille to their side. Given Paradille’s imperialist leanings, winning them over will require bribing the emperor to act as a mediator on Ars’s behalf. And who better to handle such a delicate negotiation than Licia, Ars’s clever new bride?
Incredibly stupid. I can't even with the "negotiations" they did as if they were so clever. Ignoring that Rengue f'd over their bargaining because he's an idiot, Licia going on a shopping spree so she could strip off all her finery to show sincerity (as in, this is really all the valuable things I have to give) is not in any way realistic nor an intelligent move. If she had the money to buy 500 gold worth of stuff, they DID have more than 2000 gold. Licia is being presented as super genius at politics, but it's so unbelievable that it made me cringe.
They completely ignored the fact that Rengue is a loose cannon, and then he did an about-face and everything was all better. It is clear the author has no idea how to write even simple interactions, let alone complex matters like alliances and war.
The writing is getting worse by the volume >_<

Everything was going fine until the Prince's son showed up. He's so annoying! In fact I marked it down a star purely because of him. The rest of the story was fine, and I absolutely adore his wife! It's just so frustrating when they put in a character like that new one in.
