The National Geographic Society (NGS), headquartered in Washington, D.C., United States, is one of the largest nonprofit scientific and educational organizations in the world.
Founded in 1888, its interests include geography, archaeology, and natural science, the promotion of environmental and historical conservation, and the study of world culture and history. The National Geographic Society's logo is a yellow portrait frame—rectangular in shape—which appears on the margins surrounding the front covers of its magazines and as its television channel logo. Through National Geographic Partners (a joint venture with The Walt Disney Company), the Society operates the magazine, TV channels, a website, worldwide events, and other media operations.

An important overview of the events that occurred on December 7, 1941. It was interesting to see the layout of the naval base, maps, and diagrams. I would love to see the Arizona memorial at some point to pay my respects... unbelievable that 1,170 servicemen lost their lives on that battleship alone.

I learned new information about the attack of Pearl Harbor, and this book made me shocked because the country that I live was attacked by my home country.

This is a good book for older grades when they learn about Pearl Harbor. It is filled with real pictures from this event and can get a better understanding about it based on all of the detailed information in this book.

A short, commemorative book about the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Includes many historic photos, both from Hawaii and from the Japanese, with descriptions of how the attack was plotted.
