Quentin Quokka has lots of questions! Quick questions, quiet questions—always more questions! On a string of field trips, Quentin discovers that sometimes it’s good to be quiet . . . and sometimes it’s good to ask questions!
Quentin Quokka’s Quick Questions by Barbara deRubertis, illustrated by R.W. Alley- I like this series Animal Antics A to Z – My son is honestly obsessed with the series. I’m so grateful that we have access to all of these books through the Reading Rainbow app. When I read through the list of books my son has read, I see books from this series read over and over again. I personally enjoyed sharing the Quentin Quokka book because I simply loved introducing the concept of valuing questioning skills with my students. While we were reading the book, I was able to pause and discuss where you find answers to questions, who you ask questions to, where to look for books to answer questions, etc. Pretty fantastic starting off point for Kindergarten and up.
A cute story series that focuses on letters of the alphabet. This book focused on the letter Q. This one stood out to me because I felt the illustrations were better than in some of the other books in the series. I loved the "fun facts" at the end that were partnered with exercises.
In this edition of the Animal antics a to z Quentin Quokka loves to ask question no matter where Alpha betty's class goes. Loved the ending. This book features the sounds and letter Q. Preschool and up.
Another one of THE cutest books. Just like the publisher described, it’s a humorous story kids can relate to and extras at the end for further study. Can’t wait to read all the other 25 abc books in the series!
The main character in this picture book is always asking questions. In that regard, he's much like any two-year old, including readers of this story.
Now for something that IS unusual. This little guy is called "Quentin Quokka."
Yes, this is one of Barbara deBubertis's series of "Animal Antics A to Z." In this book, usually, everybody humors Quentin as he learns, learns, learns by means of asking his questions.
But one day at school, a musical group comes to give a concert. Hey, it's Quincy Quoll's world-famous Quart Jar Quartet!
Quentin is warned to keep quiet, so that everybody can hear the musical treat. But could it ever be important for him to speak up?
A clever plot twist involves a brief earthquake, leading to a very happy ending.
FIVE STARS for this alphabet-learning adventure. Once again, the queative illustrations come from R.W. Alley.
Part of an A to Z series of books, this one has fantastic illustrations and really focuses on words that start with the letter q. It's a fun story, a bit of a tongue twister, but the kids at story time will love it!
