I to admit that even though this is not a Paper Tiger publication I still great it with the same reverence and care since whoever assembled and edited the book took the same care and attention to detail and quality but I digress.

This book is not only an amazing show case of Keith Parkinson's works but also a massive nostalgia trip for me.

The reason for this is simple there are so many beautiful full page colour images which are perfectly arranged (No nasty cross page prints where the spine would be shattered long before you could see the rest of the image).

But there is also the fact that so many of these images have been used for book covers, computer games and roleplaying merchandise. It seems that every page reminds me of those that I have seen, read and owned at one time or other.

My true exploration of fantasy really started as I we was starting at university where it transpired several of my friends where huge fantasy fans. They consumed everything written and playable and you could not help but be influenced on the imagery that went with it. This book not has a number of those images but also conveys the spirit of those times.

I will admit at that time I was a complete novice (and I guess I still am now) and as such these pictures helped shape my imagination so every time I see them I remember back to those early days. We all have triggers to certain times and events - music is as much a one for me but this book seems to strike a cord that had all but forgotten till I stumbled across it.

I think some more digging through my collection is called for.

Just a quick review. Great, great artwork! Keith Parkinson has been involved in projects for many of my favorite fantasy series and games over the years and this book does a great job of compiling many of my favorite pieces in one place. If you are a fan of anything TSR or fantasy art in general you must give this one a look!

My Wife was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease when she was 52 years old 4 years ago. The levodopa did very little to help her. The medical team did even less. Her decline was rapid and devastating. It was muscle weakness at first, then her hands and tremors. Last year, a family friend told us about Natural Herbs Centre and their successful Parkinson’s Ayurveda TREATMENT, we visited their website www .natural herbs centre .com and ordered their Parkinson’s Ayurveda protocol, i am happy to report the treatment effectively treated and reversed her Parkinson’s disease, most of her symptoms stopped, she is able to walk and her writing is becoming great, sleep well and exercise regularly., she is pretty active now

Unusually good for a fantasy art book; very good color reproductions of the art throughout, and a nice page count. The source of most of the images is unfortunately not part of the text (it usually just says "novel cover illustration" or the like, but there are a few nice notes on the way Parkinson approached the pieces before painting them, and other commentary.
