I loved the photos of the quilts in Portugal, up against tiled houses, on intricate paving courtyards, etc. The directions all look clear, although I've not made anything out of the book myself. It is very specific to Fassett's line of fabric, going so far as to include product numbers so you can order "correctly". I'm having a hard time picturing these quilts in anything but his fabric. Which maybe is the idea...

I love looking at beautiful handwork and Kaffe Fassett's fabrics make up into wonderful quilts.
I first saw his fabrics on the yarnstorm blog, she now has a beautiful web presence with her handwork and baking and gardens, so brought this book home from the library to spend some time just looking.

Kaffe Fassett's books have amazing colors and designs. It is well worth a look whatever art you prefer, knitting, sewing, quilting... Maggie, Amy Butler joined his staff and she wrote an article which is included in this book. Also you'll recognize some fabrics that you have in your quilt and the bags you made.

Eye candy for quilt lovers or anyone who loves color and beauty. Incredibly gorgeous architectural locations in Portugal provide more than just a backdrop for rich, lush quilt designs, they become part of the design.
