Always a fan of romantic fiction, I've always been in love with the alpha-male. So in love, I've never been quite satisfied with the restrictions of series romance. I like to get into a guy's mind and have him do or say exactly what he's feeling at the moment, and sometimes I shock even myself! I consider my stories soft erotica; one man, one woman, heterosexual. But since abiding love is always the happy ending I'm looking for, my couples are always monogamous. My guy would never share his woman with anyone, and she is always enough to satisfy him. Since I believe that love starts with lust, my stories are always highly sexual, explicit in nature, and hopefully totally satisfying to my readers. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.

Another good solid read by Ms Chance. Typical hot, alpha, overbearing male – yummy! Just one more to go in the series…..

“Have you ever had a fuck buddy, sweetheart?”
“No?”
“Well, the concept is simple. We fuck each other’s brains out.”
“No dating.”
“No dinners.”
“No commitment”
“No relationship.”
“There’s just one rule, babe. One little rule. I only fuck you and you only fuck me. Nobody else fucks you.”
“Nobody. Else. Fucks. You.”
“Understand?”

He is the one thing she doesn’t want him to be…

Amy locked the door and stood standing in the front hall in a trance. She lifted her fingers to her lips and touched them where he had left that final, gentle kiss. And it had been gentle. Nothing like any of the other kisses had been. Those had all be rough. Possessive. Sexual. This kiss was soothing, warm, and tender. So tender. Did he realize how he had kissed her?
Her cell phone beeped and she went to pick it up. She looked at the screen and read "1-800-bud-fuck."
Gentle? Hell no, he was despicable!

Asshole. Men were such dicks. Why women ever bothered, she sometimes didn’t know.

Warning : Please prepare a very big fan before reading this novella.

This lovely short story really hit the spot. Lynda Chance's alpha hero made my day!

Jake is an extremely possessive man, and of course, possessive alpha heroes are my weakness. The sex was crazily HOT! I couldn’t ask for more.

This was a sexy, hot, and fun read with a little bit of drama near the end of the story. My only complaint was that it was too short. I wanted more of Jake!

I think I found one of my new favorite author. I love her writing style granted this is my first book. I have the other two books on standby ready to read. I'm not sure if the author has an email or if she communicates with her fans because I was looking forward to reading her bio at the end of the book but didn't see one. With the title I really thought it would be more of a Harlequin Present kind of book, but it's more that that times ten.

Jake is a police officer.  He  has wanted Amy for months, but was unable to do anything about it because he was under the impression that she is married. On a night when Amy was going out to meet her friends, her car stalls on her late at night. She sees a car pulling up behind her and realizes it was Jake, the guy that she wants to not get involve with. During this encounter, Jake realizes that Amy, isn't married and tries to blackmail her with a breaking the law tactic. Amy, has been divorced for five years with a teenage daughter. She has been lusting for Jake for ten weeks but wants to keep him at a safe distance. But after a night with Jake, as hard as she tries she is unable to keep him at arms length.

This is my cup of tea when it comes to reading. I very much enjoyed the read and both characters. Jake was a very dominating presence and may have been controlling at times, but it was more of a sexual controlling more of the times. He was such a sexy read for me. He really really  wanted and cared for Amy, that it came off very possessive and obsessive, he was driven by both.  But I really didn't mind because you sense how much Amy wanted him as well.Amy, was very shy and maybe naive at times but she still held her ground at times. These two physically steamed up my read. The blackmail lasted a night, then both took the relationship to another level from there on.  Even with a physical relationship, Amy still wanted to keep her distance emotionally.

You know those reads where the guy is so sexy you just want to rip him from the pages and say to him, where have you been and just have you wicked way with me already, that's Jack.

Update: I wanted to point out that the Book Seduce by The American Millionaire/ The Mobster and the Soccer Mom by Lynda Chance is the first book in this 3 book series. It's about 3 divorced friends who decided to meet up for a night together but all got detoured. This is book 2 and can't wait for book 3.

Storyline: FAIR
Intimacy: AMAZINGLY GOOD
Enjoyment: GOOD

My second Lynda Chance book in less than 24 hours. Again, hero is very uber possessive. Very short story but he's all caveman from the very first scene. Not sure if all her books are like this, both books have had the heroes tell the heroines that they want no strings, no relationships, no girlfriend...just a f*ck buddy. Then they lose their sh*t when heroines go with what they say and make no demands on them and all of a sudden *they* start making the demanding, wanting more in the relationship and wanting heroines forever and ever. In both books, heroes *hated* the thought of another man touching "their woman" and got all growly about it until they finally just broke down and told the heroines they loved them and wanted to marry them.

For some reason people feel compelled to throw their forsaken cellphones at me. By throw, I mean bequeath. I thought I'd make this clear since my violent vocabulary has caused me injury today. "Throw me my cellphone, I need to finish this ebook," I told my sister, who took my statement too literally, and hurled it at me. The cellphone bounced off my Titanic of a forehead, drawing a tiny amount of blood but causing no other perceptible damage (okay, that my be a bit of a stretch but it really did hurt), although I realized that my sister probably wanted me dead. The lesson is: It is dangerous to live in a world that thinks too literal.

After reading the synopsis, I had this conversation (with myself - how lame can I get?) in my head:

And I was right. (only in my opinion)

Of course, we cannot deny the steam coming from this book. I mean, c'mon! Just look at the cover. But what did the total damage was the shallowness of the characters. And how literal the plot was. No surprise. No conflict. No depth. Just the heroine's sappy story. I think she is not aware that she is in fact, a 37 year old woman. She acts as if she's undergoing puberty. What a troll!

And I'm sorry, but there is nothing sexy about the leading man. If anything, I think he is a potential rapist or just plain psycho. Looks ain't everything, girlfriend! When guys like that happen to cross your way, you run away. Not let him blackmail you or hypnotize you to have sex with him especially if you are a 37 year old teacher with a teenage daughter! The guy is a pyscho! A pyscho! You hear me? A psy...

Ummmm. *bite nails to death* Yep sir. I'm sorry.

The 2 leads fool around like any other f**k-buddies in a cheesy rom-com would, but they don't have chemistry.

The story is so literal for me. Just look at the synopsis and that's it, like you have read the whole thing. Only, you won't feel frustrated, unlike me. Ugh. What a waste of time! I read this for free, I give you that. But still!

Overall, this book doesn't have the courage or conviction to follow through on its ribald premise.

The books in this series are short reads. This is Jake and Amy's story. Jake is a dare officer that has taught the kids in Amy's classroom for the last 10 weeks. When he finds her on the side of the road he blackmails her into sleeping with him.

In all honesty I didn't particularly care for Amy or Jake. Amy had a hangup about dating cops and Jake was walking a very thin line bordering close to rape at times during this book. Now eventually Amy fell into line and generally like alpha males but this was over the top. I think when a woman is saying no and you rip her panties off and have your way with her it's just too much.

What saved this story for me was eventually Amy got on board and seemed to genuinely like Jake's abrasive ways in the sack. I think the author should have conveyed Amy's enjoyment a little bit more for my taste but once Amy changed the way she was acting I did enjoy their relationship. This one had an abrupt ending which was unfortunate because I would have loved to see Amy's daughter find out about them before the end of the story.

**re-read** In book two of Louisiana Liaison series we meet Jake a police officer who has had the hots for Amy for months since he met her being the D.A.R.E. police officer of her classroom. Amy has wanted Jake for just as long but can't allow anything to happen because of his profession. So she lets Jake believe she's married, then one night while stranded Jake comes to Amy's rescue and Jake finds out that Amy hasn't ben married for years. Now Jake will stop at nothing to have Amy and he will do anything and use any means to get Amy. This was a great book two in a series, Lynda Chance did not disappoint and the series just keeps getting better. Jake was your typical LC hero and I loved him for it. Lynda Chance is one of those authors I know I can turn to and be guaranteed a great read.

Read this again a second time. This had everything that I love about Lynda Chance's writing. I think it was my first book by her and is the reason I became her fan. Personally, I think her recent heroes have moved away from the intensity that was in her earlier books which is a shame. But still love her.

I was able to make it thru book one, but this one is just not fun. The guy is way too pushy, the girl is way too skittish and says NO a gazillion times. And I’m not ‘triggered or offended’ but it just wasn’t romantic or sexy to me.

D.A.R.E police officer Jake Fontenot has been visiting Mrs. Amy Sanford's classroom for ten weeks. He's been keeping his distance because he believed she was married.

When he finds her broken down on the side of the road, he learns she's actually not married. Her married prefix just stuck even after her divorce. Noticing an half empty wine bottle, he threatens to arrest her unless he follows her home.

Jake is very demanding and quickly takes over. He uses his own seductive ways to make Amy realize her deep wants.

Yet Amy's past of losing her police officer father on the job keeps her from making anything public with Jake. They only get together during the week when her daughter is at school and on weekends only when she's with her father.

Soon, Jake is demanding a public relaltionship. When that doesn't happen, Jake goes back to being mono tone with her.

After a call to her mother, Amy hopes its not to late to win Jake back.

There wasn't any real meat to this story.

My second and last book of this author.
Jack is another alpha male hero, who saw Amy for ten weeks, thought about her all the time (with his second lowest brain obviously), but did nothing as he believed she was married. Learning she was indeed divorced, he jumped on the occasion and offered a secret affair. But of course he's already in love (why and how and what does he like about her, no idea!). She also falls for him because she was just waiting for a man to order her to succomb to his charms.
Although some scenes are quite steamy and well-written, the overall plot is too poor and cliché.

Really loved this story. It was hot, erotic, and got down to business right away. Jake was extremely dominating and posessive. Amy was his total opposite. These two had some amazing sex scenes, and no place was off limits. This story was short and well written. The reader knows what is going on from the very beginning, there is absolutely no beating around the bush. I can't wait to read more from this author.

This was awful. The man was a bully and not in a pleasant way either and the woman was acting terrified of him for the entire short story. She's pretty much a non-person unable to voice her complaints and stick with them. The perfect victim really.

I really should have known I wasn't going to like it from the title but noooo I just had to be curious >.<

Amy is a divorced single mom who has caught the eyes of Jake a police officer, but she vows never to get involved with a police officer again. Everything changes when officer Jake comes to her assistance one night after learning that she is not married. He uses blackmail to get what he wants but when things heat up feelings do as well. Will officer's Jake gamble with blackmail payoff and lead them along the road to happiness in the end.

Not a fan of this one. The background information on the couple and the characters was actually pretty in depth for how short the story is, but there wasn't a connection between them. And the indecision of the FMC was incredibly annoying. I think there was something off with the writing in this one, too.

So, let's get this over with once and for all.

I actually read the series in the wrong order: 3 (Bedded by the Boss), 1 (Seduced by the American millionaire) and 2 (Blackmailed into Bed).

Those are the passages I highlighted because I thought I needed to point out some cliché stuff.

Amy began to hyperventilate. What? The dude isn't even near her and just the thought of him gets her hot? I hate when I see those kind of things in books.

"I don't want to arrest you. I want you to follow me to my house and we can decide what the penalty is going to be for letting me believe you had a husband all this time." He reached through the open window and touched her for the first time. His big, rough hand slid to her ear, and his thumb rubbed across her top lip. Lightning speared through her. I had a straight face after reading that little paragraph. What is wrong with the guy? A penalty for letting you think she was married? What the heck is that? You assumed she was married, your problem, you don't have to punish her for that. And worst of it all, she's gonna accept that punishment. Gosh! The male dominance in this book got me enraged!

She backed up until she hit the wall. Why is there always a wall? The guy always gets the girl trapped.

She was an itch he needed to scratch. I read the same expression by the author in the three books. Get something new, dear writer!

His voice was deep and sure. "We're going to have so much fun." Again, I hated the way of speaking of the characters, like they were teens. And on the first night? You're having sex with him on the first night? Gosh, women nowadays really need to close their legs.

"But there's going to be a trade-off. You get your way this time, and I get my way next time." Again, freaking despicable male dominance.

The end of this story was crap.

"There's something you've got to understand. Something you've got to agree to. I don't care where we live. My house, your house or a new house altogether. But we're going to have to get married. I don't want short term. This is it. Commitment time. Real commitment. I want to live with you. Every day. I want you to sleep in my bed, every night. We can live wherever you think we will have enough room for me, you, and Kayla. Okay?"

"Yes." Her voice was soft.

"Yes, you'll marry me?" This was it. He held his breath.

"Yes, I'll live with you every day, and sleep with you every night. Yes, Jake, I'll marry you." She reached for his mouth with hers.

Jake felt a surge of relief hit him. The tension left his body. He opened his mouth for her and his tongue tangled with hers. He put his hand to the back of her head and lifted her for a deeper penetration. They shared kisses and caresses and whispered pered words of lust and love.

When her breathing deepened, he lifted his head and said, "You're going to tell that son of a bitch that you're never going out with him."

She smiled into his eyes and said, "Absolutely."

The end? The end? You call that a freaking end? Dammit! My little brother does better with rabbits and carrots.

Cough!Cough! Seriously? The guy was treating her like a slut earlier and now she's falling into his arms, marrying him. Even his way of proposing - if this can be called proposing- was freaking bossy. We're going to have to get married. This was my main problem with this series: the author wanted to get her male characters to come out as dominant and possessive. Well kuddos, Linda, you did, but not in a really appreciable way. I wanted to punch the male characters so badly. They were freaking controlling and demanding. Gosh! They got on my nerves.

Girl, you ain't in love after fewer than three months. The sex is good, you need sex so you stick around. She knows nothing about the dude, they have sex all the time and she's in love, he's in love. Where is that coming from? Well, if love were that easy, the whole world would be in love. You can't fall in love with someone just because the bed exertions you have with him are extraordinary - which they weren't. This is purely unrealistic.

I can't believe I wasted my time reading that.

Lynda Chance always has a short, intense read to keep me entertained. Her style of writing gives us a strong, dominant hero with an equally strong, yet somewhat submissive, at least sexually, heroine.

Summary:
Baton Rouge police officer Jake Fontenot has wanted Amy Sanford from the first time he caught sight of her while teaching the D.A.R.E program in her classroom. His intense lust for the sweet teacher has only grown. He controls himself with the thought of the husband he believes she has. Amy sees how Jake watches her, and knows how badly he want her. Secretly, she wants him, too, but she cant let herself go there. She cant handle the life of a cop. When Amy's stranded on the highway with car problems and Jake happens upon her, the truth comes out. Jake feels sucker punched that the whole time he's fought his attraction to Amy, he could have had her. Feeling confident and not willing to let her get away, Jake proceeds to blackmail her to his house because of an unsealed bottle of wine in her car. Amy cant quite believe that her fantasies seem to be coming true. Jake has made himself clear, and she is certain there is no getting away. Feeling the intense attraction, she gives in to his demand of sex, but with a couple of rules. They agree that they are exclusive, but with no commitments, and that Amy's teenage daughter wont find out. Things move rather quickly after that. Jake and Amy steal any chance they can get to be together: weekends when Amy's daughter is away with her dad, afternoons before her daughter gets home from school, and even nights her daughter stays at a friend's house. Amy can feel herself falling for the dominant man who seems to want more and more from her, but she's scared. Her father lost his life while in the line of duty. Whats to say Jake wont, too? How could she live with that stress everyday? Jake is disturbed by his feelings of contentment and urges to make their relationship official, but not enough to give Amy up. He wants it all, but Amy still resists. When a possible suitor begins making advances towards Amy, jealousy and possessiveness explode. Can Jake convince Amy of his feelings and the bright future they have together? Can Amy come to terms with her tragic past and accept the danger inherent in being in Jake's life?

Nice easy, but intense read. Jake was definitely an alpha. I did feel the Amy should have been a little more suspicious of his blackmail since her family has a history in the cop line of work. It was too easy for her to give in. Still, a great read. <3
