This book is pretty informative about the bibles prospective about angels. From the description in the bible they aren’t beautiful by normal standards. Some angels are six wing creatures, while others have four faces. In the bible whenever they visit people they would terrify them by their appearance.

This book is about angels and demons, but it really didn’t tell how demons came about. What happen why Lucifer was casted out of Heaven? The book never mentioned about the angels that married human wives (daughters of men) and had Nephilim children. What’s the bibles version on what happened to the Nephilim? It was good, but very one-sided.

It was a nice informative book based entirely on scripture. Anyone who is trying to learn more about the Biblical record of this subject would find an abundant resource in these pages.

I suspect that this book is going to disappoint many readers and [sadly] for all the wrong reasons. Yet, the book faithfully lives up to its title: "Everything the Bible says about Angels and Demons".

If you picked up this book in order to get a "new", "fresh", "creative" and basically "man's" perspective on angels, don't bother continuing. You won't find that here.

The commentaries after each bible passage are minimal. Two to three sentences at best. The author has been careful not to read much into the text. He lets the scriptures speak for themselves. He basically takes a background role and learns about angels and demons alongside the reader. This is what all good Christian books ought to be: Bible-led, Bible-saturated and expository.

This is a book that is best enjoyed by being read prayerfully. Do not expect to be entertained here. Just get into the classroom and sit quietly as you learn what the Bible has to say about angels and demons.

This is a good read because it forces you to read your Bible... which is quite counter-cultural for most Christian [and non-Christian] readers who prefer to read "about" the Bible.

A compilation of all the verses in the Bible that talk about angels and demons. The commentary on verses is a summary of what commentators say: if there is general agreement, the book may quote a particular commentator or simply explain the common explanation. However, if there are a variety of opinions about the meaning of a particular verse, the author summarizes the main explanations so you can make up your own mind.

The books in this "Everything the Bible Says About ..." series give an overview of Scripture about a particular topic--not as effective for learning and understanding as if you looked up the verses and did a word study on your own, but a good way to learn something about a variety of topics that would be difficult to cover on your own because of time constraints.

Disappointing. This is a bit misleading from the book description. Everything in this I could easily have found with a little bit of research. C-

"For the Lord Almighty hath not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind" 2 Timothy 1:17

I have not actually read this book as yet, but for those who are interested, I am of the firm belief that I have had first-hand encounters with both demons and angels, going back as far as 1992 to our present time.......I am only sharing this information as I also believe that it may be of some use/helpful to someone out there who has had a similar experience(s), but wasn't sure what it actually was that had transpired to them at that time. My memories/recollections of 'all' said events are very vivid ie I remember them all as if they had only happened yesterday.

My first experience, of what I strongly suspect was a demon or similar ie a dark/evil entity, happened way back in the early 90's, when I was only a young man of 25. I was lying on my sofa with my beloved dog Cain sprawled across my chest, while watching Pink Floyds "Live at Pompeii" album. The time was around 3:00am, the dead of the night, and the track Echoes began to play, which was one of my favourite tracks to listen to at that time.

I would describe the track is mainly instrumental and is very long at 23 minutes, and living up to its title name ie with very atmospheric echoing sounds/noises, which was a hallmark of Pink Floyds at that time. The song slowly but inexorably builds up to a rhythmic, trancelike beat, with a thumping hypnotic base and a piercing lead guitar, performed and shot on location in the setting of the ancient Roman amphitheater of Pompeii, which was deserted and where the skies looked to be prestinley clear, with a setting sun in clear view behind the band while they played-on (as a young man I was quite impressed, I guess I still am to a degree, though the 'magic' has gone).

It was sometime midway through the track when I was suddenly startled by the unmistakable and foreboding feeling of a sinister presence directly behind me, which had me instantly paralysed with fear. It was only a few seconds later that my dog Cain awoke from his deep sleep from where he was sprawled across my chest. Cain instinctively looked past me to where I guessed this dark presence was and was growling and baring his teeth and trying to get at whatever the thing was, but I held on to him as tight as I could (more out of instinct and fright than any other feeling that I can surmise).......this 'encounter' seemed to go on forever, but eventually subsided after what I guesstimate was around 20 to poss 30 seconds, no more. My dog Cain settled back down to sleep again after a couple of minutes, but I was so petrified it took me at least five more minutes or so before I plucked up the courage to look behind me (even though I knew nothing would be there).

Moving along now to 2016, and at this stage in my life I have an understanding that the Holy Bible narrative is very likely True, and that Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ are, in fact, "the real deal" ie exactly as the Scriptures describe, and in a literal sense too.......it was in these 'early' days of myself coming to terms with my new-found 'faith', that I would find myself being subjected to unexplainable laughing&growling, strange noises, sometimes in the dead of night, toys turning themselves on in the dead of night, and even three long scratches mysteriously appearing along my thigh on one occasion during my prayers (weird stuff would mostly happen when I was about to pray or during prayer).......these 'attacks/scares' only subsided after 2 to 3 years, or when my faith had grown way beyond that of the previous few years, and I was no longer 'afraid' ie in fear of the unknown, or afraid of being alone in the dark.

Moving along to just 3 months past, back in October of last year and where I am now working on fitting-out a boat on my own, so plenty to do. It's one of those mornings where I am asking the big questions of Almighty God ie "what is my purpose in life, where do I fit in?".......after only a short while, I sense/hear someone tapping the outside of the hull. I go to see who it is and to my surprise it's a Sikh policeman sargeant in uniform and on a bicycle, which are not too common round my way, especially a sikh policeman sargeant on a pushbike (my one and only so far to date).......without going into too much detail here, I was initially a bit taken aback/on guard, but Sargent Mangit Singh was instantly very likeable, chatty and had an easy way/charm about him. He asked me politely about my boat and i politely answered all Sargeant Singh's questions, before I asked him some questions about how long he had been a Sargeant, and why he was on a bike, to which he informed me 25 yrs and that he preferred the bicycle as he was happy with this arrangement, this because it was easier for him to talk to people, such as the homeless in the immediate vicinity, of which there are many, including those who openly drink alcohol along the waterways (which is a crime punishable with £100 instant fines, as is vagrancy i understand).

After getting to know some of the local alcoholics and homeless people on the waterway, not 'one' of them said they had ever heard of Sargeant Singh or anyone who fitted his description. When I was a young lad, we 'all' in the neighbourhood made a 'point' over remembering the names and faces of the local policemen and even gave them nicknames (all of them derogatory, lol).

Anyway! Before long we were talking about Covid-19, conspiracy theories and of course the Holy Bible, Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who Sargeant Singh said he was a believer and follower of (which surprised me as he had the appearance of a Sikh).......after around 30-40 minutes Sargeant Singh goes on his way and I was left feeling much happier about myself for the encounter/experience. Getting back to work on the boat and after only a very short while, I receive yet another knock on the hull of the boat, only this time its clearly a Muslim fella with (trademark clothes and beard), asking politely if he could borrow something to help retrieve his mobile phone, which he somehow dropped in the water.

I politely explained that there would be no point in attempting to retrieve the phone as it would be knackered from water ingress, but before you know it, we found ourselves talking about the Holy Bible, Almighty God and even Jesus Christ. Anyway! This conversation must have gone on for close to 50 minutes to an hour before he, (Osuumar) parted ways. But before he (Osuumar) left, I learnt that he was from Dallas, Texas, (and where I had also previously visited, twice before in the mid 90's). I remembered thinking to myself that Dallas seemed an odd place for Osuumar to claim to be from, given my own personal knowledge of the city.

Osuumar initially talked entheusiastically about the Quran and the Prophet Mahamed, while I feigned ignorance innitially, but got more involved as the convo went on. I got the distinct impression that I was being 'seduced' into taking an interest in the Quran by Osuumar, but he eventual abandoned this line of thinking after It became apparent that my knowledge of the Scriptures/Gospels was greater than I innitially let on. After Osuumar left, i remembered feeling as though Almighty God had 'answered' my prayer from earlier that morning ie "what's my purpose, where do I fit in?".......I also quickly fitted some screws to a long length of batton wood to assist in 'scooping-out' a mobile dropped in the water and cycled up to the bridge where Osuumar said he was returning, only he wasn't there, nor could I see any sign of him or his lost mobile in the water. There was also a large building-site directly next to the bridge where Osuumar said he had lost his mobile, who would have had a wide variety of tools/materials to help him retrieve his mobile from the water had he so wished (as common sense would have dictated).

I am 'now' of the firm belief that the dark terrifying entity ie presence, was a demon or similar.

1 am also of the firm belief that the growling, strange noises, scratches and toys turning themselves on in the dead of night were demonic in nature, and designed to put me off finding the Lord Jesus.

I now also firmly believe that both Sargeant Mangit Singh and Osuumar were 'agents' ie angels sent by Almighty God to answer my initial prayer and that these encounters were a form of 'test'.

The next 'demonic' incident occurred around a 18 months past while I was at my local church, of which I was a relatively new member and where I was in the process of endeavouring to share information gained from Almighty God to the pastor, of whom I was keen to get his own personal opinion on being as he was an ordained servant of the Lord Jesus and all that entails. Events unfolded as follows.

It was Sunday morning worship and all appeared normal, with around 25 people or so in a roughly 50 capacity chapel. We were about 15 munites towards the end of the 2 hour sermon/service when I 'sensed' someone come into the chapel, to my left and slightly over my shoulder. It was a tall young man around 18-20 years old and he walked very quickly to where I was seated and sat in the chair next to mine, which was in between myself and had a hat/gloves on that belonged to the other person in next adjacent seat. They both shook hands and so I assumed that they both knew each other.

Almost from the get-go, I sensed something was very, very wrong with this guy, as the energy (aura?) emanating off him was 'off the scales'.......he was paying no attention to the pastor and attempted to intimidate me with his elbow and by stretching his legs out in front of mine, but every time I attempted to make eye contact with him to get his attention, he would look away, thus making it difficult for me to address the issue. Anyway! The sermon ends and I go home, but send an email to the pastor explaining what had happened and that I strongly felt this particular guy was demonised, to which he, the pastor, to his credit agreed with me on, saying the young guy had only popped his head in the day before to enquiry about God and Jesus. The pastor went on to state that the young man wouldn't be coming back as "this God thing isn't for him?".......(the young guy never knew the person sitting the other side of him, so he had very deliberately and purposefully seated himself next to myself, despite there being many other seats empty seats he had to walk past before reaching the empty one situated between myself and the other parishioner, who had their personal belongings placed on it).

A week later and with 15 minutes of the sermon left to go, the 'exact' set of circumstances happened all over again, only this time I have my young son with me, who was playing in a room next door with some other children. I had a very ominous feeling something 'bad' was going to happen so I got up, collected my son and left.

When I contacted the pastor later on to explain what had happened, he was at a loss for words and didn't know what to say. I explained that I felt it was not safe for my son to come and attend his church to which he (the pastor) reluctantly agreed was probably for the best given the circumstances.......it is my firm belief that this guy was an agent of Satan's , who's sole purpose was to prevent myself from imparting the Lord's Truth to the pastor.

There have been many other instances whereby I can honestly state that I felt as though I had had an encounter with an angel, most especially with those souls who look to be 'down and outs' ie beggars on the streets, only upon reflection they were never 'actually' begging, just looking 'conspicuously' rough and in need of a good scrub, but when offered food or money they would 'always' be well spoken and polite and with a gleam in their eyes that didn't make you feel as though this individual had a drink or a drug problem of even if they particularly cared about sleeping rough in the cold uncaring streets of our city.

For those who are interested, Ron Wyatt, who was famously shown many Biblical artefacts by Almighty God, including Noah's Ark, the Ark of the Covenant and much, much more, has recorded testimonies online of the many times that he, himself had of his encounters with angels while doing the Lord's Work and even had a brief encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ (go look yourself, and make your own mind up whether or not Ron Wyatt is seeking personal glory, is crazy or just simply telling us the Truth).

"For God hath chosen the the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the mighty" 1 Corinthians 1:27

PS: update: with regards to events concerning PC Mangit Singh, who I initially believed was very likely an angel of the Lord. The very 'next' day after posting this comment online, I bumped into Sergeant Mangit Singh twice (over two consecutive days), leading me to believe that the Lord intended for myself to know the Truth of the matter, that being Sergent Singh is indeed one of us mere mortals here on this Earth. I'm not sure why it took me as long as it did to get around to posting this info, perhaps I was hoping for something more by way of revealing info from the Lord.

Anyway! Since this post 'is' essentially about Truth, then I felt it only right and proper to 'fess-up'. I still however, firmly believe that the Lord orchestrated events to happen the way they unfolded on that day due to my initial prayer that very same morning ie "what is my purpose in life, where do I fit in Lord?".......I wholeheartedly encourage anyone who wishes to have this same telling question answered by the Lord, to do so with a sincere and contrite spirit (the more sincere the asking, the more surreal the response in my own honest&humble opinion).

I found some good information; however, this book reads more as a commentary, reprinting of all the verses on the subject with a few short comments here and there. I was anticipating more of the author's insight instead of a running concordance that I could have found elsewhere. But if you are looking for one place to find all available scripture on the subject, than this will be helpful.

Information is a bit sparse, but what's there is quite insightful, without being too overreaching/assuming.
