Painless Chemistry
Titles in Barron's extensive Painless Series cover a wide range of subjects as they are taught on middle school and high school levels. These books are written for students who find the subjects unusually difficult and confusing--or in many cases, just plain boring. Barron's Painless Series authors' main goal is to clear up students' confusion and perk up their interest by emphasizing the intriguing and often exciting ways in which they can put each subject to practical use. Most of these books take a light-hearted approach to their subjects, often employing humor, and always presenting fun-learning exercises that include puzzles, games, and challenging "Brain Tickler" problems to solve. This title clarifies the logic of the Periodic Table, explores atomic theory, chemical bonding, the structure of molecules, and more.

If you can catch the errors, not a bad book. Errors I have found so far:
p. 15: "1 angstrom = 1.0 x 10^-10 meters = 1 nanometer". Nope. That's 0.1 nanometers.
p. 75, intending to show that pressure x volume of a given quantity of gas is constant, shows 1 atm * 10 ml = 10 [okay]; 4 atm * 2.5 ml = 10 [okay]; and 2 atm * 3 ml = 10. Wait, what? It should have said 5 ml.
Makes me worry about which errors I'm not catching, though.

Relatively helpful chemistry book if you're looking to review middle and high school chemistry. Not as helpful if you're in the college intro course.
A few typos in formulas and oddly enough a section where it felt like they forgot to delete a word when they rephrased the sentence.
The sections contained relatively good information but seemed to be in a sort of odd order instead of one that naturally lead to building on the foundations of the reader's knowledge.

Used this to review for my chemistry final. Relatively painless, though I did find two typos in formulas, which could be very problematic for some.
