"An eternity is such a long time to rule alone. Will you join me in Hell?"
The Archangel Lucifer, Sovereign of Hell, was awakened ahead of his time by the blood of a teenage girl. To satisfy his curiosity, he revived her from her untimely death and granted her a final wish worth dying for.
Fun concept that will have me reading the next one. This talented young author delivers an interesting set of characters that must deal with a vast set of problems. Ms. Lu spins an amazing tale that keeps the reader fully vested in the story and the characters. I hope the author continues to develop her talent and series. Looking forward to reading more.
Better. Less frustrating then its predecessor. But what was up with the ending? How could they travel back in time? My guess is that humanity remade itself after Lucifer cleansed the Earth Here's to hoping for a next installment...
This second book about the devil and his lover has some fascinating little turns. We catch up with Kali being transferred into another body and someone else inhabiting her physical body just to be close to have Lucifer for themselves. When the truth is known by her grown son, Trent, he keeps it to himself until he can find out why this has happened to his mother and who is responsible. Things get dicey once the truth comes out but only Kali suffers the consequences of not listening to her husband once again. Her meeting of people while she was trying to let Lucifer know that she was inside a different body led to some harrowing consequences to humans and demons alike.
This was oddly disappointing. I liked these characters so much and then the second book in the series failed to uphold my high expectations. I was often confused as to where we were in the story and what had happened. I didn't understand why Kali couldn't bed him to stay with her, and I especially didn't understand why Lucifer left her, when he was the one that I felt had to prove his love to her. Lucifer let's Kali's friend take his place as her lover in the end, which I felt was very out of character for him. Overall, the only good part of this book was the epilogue, which intreiged me enough to consider reading the next book, if one ever comes out.

Not as good as the 1st book in my opinion. I really liked the idea of Kali being resurrected but stolen and exchanged in between but the rest of the book was not up to what I expected. I didn t feel Lucifer s feeling as I did in the previous book. The whole development is just weird, nearly ending with the destruction of human kind.
