This rating is based on my 5 year old's response to the book. He picked it out himself a month ago and has already asked for me to help him make several of the drinks (Sandy's Treedome Tea was surprisingly good for what little is in it), the Crabby Patty Cupcakes with brownie filler for the patty and a sandwich wrap from the book. He is constantly going back to it and asking to look at the pictures, talk about the ingredients and planning out parties for his stuffed giraffe, whale and monkey so he can make more of the recipes. By his reaction and mom's standards, it's an excellent introductory kid's cookbook!
This rating is based pn my 7 yr old. He loves the book. We picked it out because he wanted a SpongeBob themed birthday dinner. There are recipes for all levels og child chiefs with a rating system so parents know what to expect. The Pirate Pancakes were rated difficult to make and were one of the more complicated recipes. My son loved them. He was shocked to see a recipe for Krabby Patty Cakes and relaxed when he found out they weren't really Krabby Patties. All around a fun cookbook for kids who love SpongeBob.
