This primer on fly fishing for carp is quite good. The authors present an understanding of the carp's origins and expansion in the United States, its biology, environs where carp reside, and how to fly fish for them. Overall a solid piece of work. Of course, one can only learn so much from a book. Experience on the water is paramount.
Felt more like a repetitive series of magazine articles than a book. Had a lot of good info, but I don't think it was worth the price, as most of that info is available in magazine articles by the same folks.
I found this to be a quick and enjoyable read. I am fairly new to fly fishing, so there were tons of good nuggets of info for me. I'm sure a more experienced fisherman would glean nuggets as well.
I did have one slight issue with the physical book. The pictures are in black and white, which is fine, but a ton of detail is lost in the images. I don't know if this is from the type of paper used, the ink, or something else.
