Delicious. Mysterious. Paid for. That’s the best way to describe male escort Damon. One night and one Pretend to be the perfect boyfriend while seriously irritating my boss at our magazine’s masquerade campaign. Problem is… I actually like him.
Clover Granture should not have curves and wit like that—the kind that provoke my primal needs. As a client, she’s off-limits. Worse, she works for Candice Fashion Magazine drawing me too close to the spotlight. And yet, when she pulls me into her “fake boyfriend” schemes, I find myself enjoying it. But if she finds out my true identity, it could ruin everything I’ve built.

This was my first Kia Carrington-Russell book, it releases TOMORROW & I’ve got to say it was definitely an enjoyable read. This book is a secret billionaire x fake boyfriend x hot male escort (is this an existing trope? Because if not I’m adding it!), in dual POV & it was such a great quick & easy read. Clover is your typical writer (if typical writers are stunning AND witty) in New York trying to make her break by working as a PA for the head of a magazine company. She is a sweet, beautiful woman whose head is so involved in her work that she doesn’t have time to date. When her boss has yet another stab about her love life, what else is she meant to do? Dial the number. Damon, a mysterious business man with a little side hustle comes to save the day, or shall I say night. Who would ever work out where he was from, especially under his masquerade mask? Nobody. Clover would wear this in her stride, she could have him… if she paid. With some serious arm candy by her side, Clover is sure to leave her bitchy bosses jaw on the floor! How will Damon handle when his “clients are off limits” rule is truly tested & what will Clover do when she discovers who Damon really is… what other things could he be hiding?
Thanks for the ARC copy Kia Carrington-Russell & Grey’s Promotions. Can’t wait to get reading book #2!
Overall a very scrumptious read A little rom-com, a little mystery, some angst, a boss who needs an exlax coffee, lots of secrets, and some very high heat smexy moments all rounded off with a sweet HEA
Damon was battling with his demons and needed a way to, IDK - Reaffirm himself? Get back out there? Which is how the masquerade began.
Clover was working towards her dream - Well she was before the evil overlord who was her boss began running her absolutely ragged. She didn't have time for dating which left her in her current pickle. She needed a date.
Problem meet solution - It was only for one night - No strings. Isn't that how it always starts
A super cast of characters both main and supporting The overall story was engaging though a few times I felt like we wander off the beaten path temporarily High smexual tension between our two MCs Hilarious back-and-forth banter The BFF - The cat - The snoopy buddy - The overcaring sister This had a bit of everything

Review of Mine For The Night By Kia Carrington-Russell
Angsty, But Fun Romance
This book represents a rewrite of My Escort, which was the first book in a trilogy by Kia Carrington-Russell. I must have read the earlier book in Kindle Unlimited, because I don’t have a copy to compare with this book. So, based on this book alone, the author has written an angsty but fun quick romance. Clover works for Candice magazine as a personal assistant to the CEO, Debra Coorman. Debra treats her very nastily, always piling more and more last minute jobs on her so that she’s forced to work long after closing to get things completed. She longs to be a travel writer; however, working for Debra, it feels like her goals are slipping away. It isn’t until the end of the book that you find out why Debra treats Clover so poorly.
She is ordered to attend a company function and is expected by Debra to bring a guest, but she hasn’t dated in the two years she’s been in the city. A friend at work slips her a card with the name and number of a male escort and she finally works up the nerve to text him to see if he would be available to escort her to the event the following evening. He agrees, provided the event is a masquerade and requires face masks. He knows that if he appeared without a mask, he would be too recognizable. Clover’s friend helps her with a borrowed dress and with her hair and makeup, leaving her looking totally gorgeous.
The escort is Damon, a billionaire who owns half of a rival magazine. He was devastated several years ago when the woman he was engaged to cheated on him with his best friend. Since that time, he hasn’t dated but has set up an escort service where he wears a mask so that no one will know who he is. When he arrives, she’s almost drooling at his looks and deep sexy voice, while he finds himself strongly attracted to her.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Kia did a wonderful job crafting the story. The characters are well described and their inner thoughts make the book very believable. Comparing it to the first book in my memory, I found it to be virtually the same, but I will be the first to admit my memory “ain’t what it used to be”. The only drawback to this ARC copy is that it needs a good editor and someone to run the script through Spellcheck or something similar. Since this is an ARC copy, it is presumed that the multiple errors will be corrected prior to release. So, if you’re looking for an extremely satisfying romance, look no further; this is the book for you!
My Rating: 5 Stars.

Title: Mine For The Night Author: Kia Carrington-Russell Hero/Heroine: Damon & Clover Tropes: Billionaire, Secret Identity, Fake Dating,
TW/CW: Death of a parent (off page), infidelity (off page),
THE GOOD 😀
Imagine this: you work at a well known magazine and your boss makes Miranda Priestly look like a Disney Princess. She makes a dig about you never having a boyfriend, so what do you do? You decide to hire an escort for the evening. This is exactly the predicament our heroine, Clover finds herself in. Overworked and massively under appreciated, she finds herself at a crossroads. This crossroads also has a stupidly hot bloke there, just thought I’d point that out.
Not having read many books with this premise, I found myself caught up with the story. Damon and Clover were great characters and I loved how they immediately clicked with each other, and their banter was especially epic. The fact that Damon kept calling Clover different pet names even though she made it clear she hated them made me chuckle.
Throughout the book I was trying to figure out what it was that Damon was hiding from Clover, and boy was it a doozy. I wasn’t expecting it to be honest, which is always a good thing, I mean who doesn’t love a bit of a surprise twist?
Overall this was a really enjoyable story and I loved the whole secret identity aspect of it. I’m now wanting to read Alex and Sotiny’s story, there’s definitely a story there.
THE BAD ☹️
Debra. She devil. If she was my boss I’d be sacked immediately for punching her in the face.
Thank you to the author and @greyspromo for providing me with a copy of this to read. This is my honest review.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: Billionaire romance with an added dash of secret identity, two thumbs up STEAM LEVEL: 🔥🔥🔥 STAR RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kia Carrington-Russell's MINE FOR THE NIGHT was a delicious tale involving an overworked PA and an escort who is hiding a secret. Book #1 in the New York Nights series was an enjoyable read that was both sweet and spicy.
Clover Granture moved to New York to follow her dream of one day being a travel journaslist. Instead, she's working as a PA for a boss who doesn't appreciate her and treats her like dirt. Needing a date for a work function, Clover is given the number for an escort, little did she know that her phone call was about to change everything for her. As well as having a high powered, stress inducing job, Damon occasionally hired himself out as an escort. It gave him the chance to get out and about again after his world was ripped apart. He decided to give it up a few months earlier, however when he received Clover's request he couldn't say no, there was just something about her voice that intrigued him. Falling for each other was never supposed to happen, however the chemistry between them was too hard to ignore. Nothing was going to be easy for them though, especially since Damon was keeping a secret that could alter everything.
This was a fun, entertaining read, with some drama, angst, secrets, and a little twist, all enough to keep me reading. Clover and Damon were very relatable and thoroughly likeable. A great beginning to this new series.
Kindle Unlimited: Yes Stand-alone: Yes Author: Kia Carrington-Rusell Rating: 4/5 ⭐️ Spiciness Rating: 2/5 🌶 POV: First Person Dual Perspective Main Couple: Damon and Clover Trope(s): Suspenseful, Fake Relationship, Workplace, Secret Identity
This is my first read from Kia. The opportunity to read an ARC came my way so I decided to give the author a go. This book was previously published as “My Escort”. Kia re-released with new characters, dual POV, and major changes. This is a low angst slow burn read. The chemistry and banter between Damon and Clover built seamlessly throughout the book and made reading so enjoyable.
Clover is the personal assistant to the CEO at Candice Magazine. When her boss springs attending an important work event at her last minute she needs a date. Having spent the last two years focusing on work, she hasn’t dated much. But, her work friend Cassidy has the solution. An escort named Damon.
He proves to be the perfect solution.
Damon has spent the last two years laying low after his relationship blew up. He hadn’t taken in a client in months when Clover called.
Clover isn’t a part of his world and meeting her was like a breath of fresh air.
She moved to Manhattan to pursue her writing career. But, with all the hours she works the dream of traveling, exploring and writing about her adventures is put on hold.
And, then Damon opens her eyes and heart. Only to keep an important part of himself from her.
Mine for the Night seemed simple enough but then when it comes to love things can change right away. We have Clover, young woman just wanting to suceed in the magazine world but like all jobs she has an evil boss weighing her down. Then we have Damon, mysterious escort with so many secrets on him there's no way to find out who he really is at first. Two people opposite from each other yet actually have many things in common takes a while to finally see. First time I have read from Kira Carrington-Russell and though there were some things interesting in the book between these two it felt a little slow with them. I loved the mystery of the whole escort business with Damon but felt this was more of second book than actually the first in a series so many things felt off with Damon. The chemistry is there but even that seemed slow with Clover more about her job then fiding love in this book. All in all it was okay but definitely feel this should have been a sequel not the first in a series and wanted more of Clover into Damon then what we read in this book.
"I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own."
I downloaded this book on a stuff your kindle day, it was my first time reading this author.
“Mine for the night” feels like the wrong title for this book. It follows Damon (a likeable) billionaire that starts moonlighting as an escort only to masquerades in order to hide his identity and Clover, an assistant to an editor at a magazine where her dream is to be a travel writer. It should also be said that Damon is an escort to masquerades only, he never sleeps with his clients. Which is why the title just felt weird to me.
I enjoyed the first half of this book immensely. If you’re looking for heavy spice, about 60% of scenes are closed door, and the other scenes are about half a page-a page in length. This didn’t bother me at all since the characters were so enjoyable.
The last 30% of the book felt like it belonged to another story. It lost pacing, had a sloppy 3rd act breakup, and the epilogue felt superfluous.
That said, character development was beautifully done and I did enjoy the authors writing in the first half so I’ll be looking for more reads from this author!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
I can have him if I pay. Delicious. Mysterious. Paid for. That's the best way to describe male escort Damon. One night and one condition: Pretend to be the perfect boyfriend while seriously irritating my boss at our magazine's masquerade campaign. Problem is...I actually like him. Clover Granture should not have curves and wit like that-the kind that provoke my primal needs. As a client, she's off-limits. Worse, she works for Candice Fashion Magazine drawing me too close to the spotlight. And yet, when she pulls me into her "fake boyfriend" schemes, I find myself enjoying it. But if she finds out my true identity, it could ruin everything I've built.
This is a rom-com with a little mystery to it. Some angst, secrets and some smoking hot times. I don't really want to tell you the story. It was a cute book though.
Clover is an overworked PA for a terrible boss while trying to reach her dream of writing, and it's because of this boss that things are about to take a complicated turn. She decides to hire someone for an event after her boss insults her love life, and Damon is the one who ends up hired. Damon is definitely mysterious with the two sides of his life, but he has a rule that his clients are off limits, however, he never saw Clover coming. These two have serious chemistry so you already know things are about to get super complicated because of how they met, not to mention his rule & the secrets he's keeping so what could possibly go wrong?! Mine for the Night was a page-turner that I enjoyed a great deal, and I believe everyone should give it a go as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This romance follows a pretty much standard storyline for this kind of story. Clover's boss is a mean piece of work and treats Clover badely, bullying might be a more accurate way to describe her bosses actions. Clover knows that she needs to find a man to escort to a work function or face her Bosses nasty comments again. Damion is one of her customers and agrees to escort her, despite his rule of "clients are off limits".
There is some chemistry going on with Clover and Damion. After the "fake boyfriend" at work function is done, they find excuses to see each other. There's a lot of mystery surrounding Damion, a past he is trying to hid and move away from, which provides a few twists and turns. Add to the mix communication mishaps and misunderstanding and you get a good read.
The steam, the steam, the STEAM! So much spicy tension, hilarious banter and very intriguing main characters. Forbidden and "off-limits" and hidden secrets makes this a very easy and quick read. I enjoyed this story and any time I can read about a one-night only, knight in shining hidden armor I am happy to oblige. Clover is the main character you root for from page 1 and cannot stand watching her be treated the way she is by her piece of work boss. You hoot and holler when you see Damon break his "clients are off limits" rule to sweep her off her feet and accompany her to a work function. The tension is palpable in such an incredible way. I am looking forward to book 2. 3.75/5 stars rounded up.
Reasonably enjoyable read. Felt a little contrived and wordy at times. Clover and Damon had good chemistry and I liked their journey from escort/client to lovers.
Clover is downtrodden at work and puts up with a horrid boss for the opportunity to climb the ladder in publishing. There is a bit of a small fish big pond feel to her life in NY. Damon is the mysterious escort with charm and secrets. Neither wants it to be over after their one night together.
This has all the makings of a classic romcom with secrets and miscommunication. It is a fun read but just didn't hit the mark romance wise for me.
This is Book 1 in the New York Nights Series and my first read by this author, and I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and characters. It is an off limits romance between Clover and male escort Damon. These flawed but likeable characters, the strong connection, the combustible chemistry, and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. It is a romantic journey with drama, humor, steam, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. A good start to the series.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Grey's Promotions and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Mine For The Night is a wonderful romance between Clover, a PA for the CEO (Debra) of a magazine who creates a hostile workplace for her, and Damon, a billionaire who owns an escort service as well as another business. These characters meet when Debra demands Clover to attend a business event with a date. Her best friend gives Damon’s card to Clover and he agrees to escort her to the function as long as it requires a mask. This is a fantastic romance with great characters, delightful banter, steamy attraction, mystery, and a wonderful romance.

This is the first book I read from this author and I can say that it was very enjoyable. I loved Damon and felt sorry for all he went through. I did find Clover to be a little immature for my tastes. To me, she had a lot of growing up to do when it comes to working in a hostile work environment and I would have thought she would have recognized it a lot sooner than she did. I'm certainly interested in reading more of this series though. I received an advanced copy and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.
My Review!!! This book is amazing ! If you are looking for Romance all the way this book is for you! This book will hit you all in the cute romantic feels.. Damon is being a very naughty boy just being an escort for fun. Clover is struggling trying to juggle her work and having to work with the worst boss in the world. Clover is thrown under the buss for not having a boyfriend and her good friend Cassidy said here take this number and call and if you want more this book is for you.. this book is hot and steamy..
Mine for the Night is my first read from Kia Carrington-Russell and I really liked this one. This is a mix of romantic tropes; billionaire romance, fake dating, male escort, all with some steamy goodness. It's also a dual POV which is a always a plus as I love to get a glimpse of the hero's feelings and thoughts. This is an enjoyable, quick read that's not too crazy with over abundant substance. I would definitively recommend this one to fans of a quick contemporary romance with some elements of surprise mixed in with a hint of drama.
Clover is to attend a work event, and her boss is expecting her to have a date. In need, Clover calls the number a friend gives her for an escort.
Damon is a billionaire, who heart what trampled on. As an escort he can do what he wants while behind a mask.
This is a wonderful tale that has weaved that pulls you in hard and fast leaving you breathless. Love the connection and passion between Clover and Damon. The twist of the ride had me on the edge of the seat.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a fantastically written book that I wish was about me. The characters are so vivid in my head thanks to the author’s great descriptive writing. I love how the storyline flows very smoothly and keeps you guessing on what will happen next. The way the two main characters evolve and grow, is such a great message and feeling in and of itself that it has me wanting to make a few changes of my own life for the better. I absolutely adore this amazingly, beautiful and brilliant author for sharing her gift to the world. Now on to book 2.
I would give it a 3.75 stars. I didn't love the drama created, to me it felt like what happened between Damon and Clover wasn't such a big deal. But I did like the excuses that keep popping up so they could keep seeing each other. Plus the story keeps you interested because he is very mysterious. Which helps him to trust her but not so much the other way around. Even though Damon has this charm to him that can calm anyone. The book is good. Easy to read too.
Mine for the Night was a fun, enjoyable book. The writing was good and the storyline was unique and kept me guessing about how things were going to work out. Clover and Damon definitely had chemistry and I liked getting to see their connection become stronger as the story went on. They each had up walls, however, slowly they started helping each other come more alive and while doing that broke down those walls.
Super cute, easy and fun read!! I really liked the characters and how their feelings were actually developed and not just list driven. The getting to know each other parts were what really solidified their connection to me. Such an interesting plot Line, to be honest it felt like something I’d watch in a 90’s romcom movie. Really easy read and I’m excited to read the rest in the series.
This was a good story overall but it was a little choppy with having the story set in Manhattan NY but a lot of the verbiage was not American English. It kind of deterred some things at times as I had to reword it in my head to have it make sense. Turns out the author is Australian which makes sense as to the flip flop of the words/phrases.
I still very much enjoyed the story though and the plot was well thought out and executed.
Overall enjoyable, but I will never understand why these fictional women get so upset when they find out the man they fell in love with (and who fell in love with them) is super rich. Like... what is wrong with you? He's bringing you to his private villa in the Bahamas on his private jet (and picked you up in a limo with driver) and yet you are surprised when his Billionaire identity is "revealed"? Sure, honey 🙄

so this is one of the first books I've read from this author that wasn't with t l smith and I loved it after meeting the author in person and how lovely she was I knew I wanted to read more of her books and to say this book/series was an amazing way to end my year. I loved the story, and he was so cute trying to earn her back as he should tho . I'm very excited to see if Alex has a story as I feel like it would be very good
Mine for the Night by Kia Carrington Russell is a 5 star read throughout.
Lovely story with mystery, intrigue, suspense and a powerful romance that both shocks and entices the reader. Gray and Clover are two very different people but the readers are gonna fall in love with them and their passion..
ok so escort turns plaything what could go wrong in this situation! lol while the hiding identity made sense on Damon's part some of Clovers response to issues didn't and gave me a headache lol. her moods and personality was all over the place.
now the only part that didn't make sense to me was how Debra didn't recognize the rival mag owner even with shades on, what was he Clark Kent?! lol
Mine for the Night is a quick read that I absolutely loved. Damon and Clover’s story had me hooked from the first chapter and I couldn’t put it down. This is the first book I have read of this author and won’t be my last. Looking forward to more in this series.
