A sizzling tale about a young woman learning the erotic arts from a handsome butler. Part of Seven Seas’ imprint dedicated to sexy romance for Steamship!
Miku is in a her father has taken on too much debt, subjecting her family to so much work and stress that now her mother has fallen ill. Miku is willing to do what it takes to help her family, so she agrees to become a wealthy benefactor’s mistress to raise the cash they need! Unfortunately, that alone isn’t enough–the wealthy man has a preference for women who are experienced in bed, and Miku is anything but. That’s when the man’s butler, Kamishiro, steps in. The gorgeous but sharp-tongued Kamishiro is he says he’s been sent to train Miku in the sexual arts. Under his hot and heavy tutelage, can Miku become experienced enough to inflame the desire of any man…including her teacher?
I'm interested to see where this steamy manga goes. Miku is mostly your classic self-sacrificing, virginal heroine, except she has courage and determination that won't allow her to give up. She's determined to become a proper mistress, and her teacher, the seemingly cold, but gorgeous, butler reluctantly takes her under his wing. While he remains rather stoic throughout, the moments when he is caught off guard are my favorite. And the moments of tenderness he offers shows that he truly sees Miku and understands her.
The drawing style is extremely meh. Quite a few times the drawing was stiff and looked more like a mannequin with no suggestion of movement. And basically two things happened. Not a lot going on. The girl doth protest too much and that's getting annoying. Also - what a ridiculous premise. The only thing that would make this any better would be the butler turning out to be the millionaire in disguise.
https://songedunenuitdete.com/2021/01...
I don’t normally rate manga but I really didn’t like this one. I don’t expect a literary masterpiece when it comes to spicy manga but this was terrible.
This girl is 50 million yen in debt so her plan is to be a mistress to this rich guy but the rich somehow doesn’t want a virgin and the butler is charge of giving her dec lessons.
The mom won’t leave the dad (who is caused the 50 million yen debt) because she’s sick and she loves him. Girl please.
What high quality drawings, such texture to all the clothes, and the shading of hair and the decorative flourish around speech bubbles is fittingly royal. The MMC has beautiful multicolored hair and is the gaurd/butler of a Hugh Hefner type the FMC is going to to take care of her sickly family (though she's not all that adverse to doing it in general). There's something different about her eyes, clearer pupils like a friendly doll. I just don't get why so much Japanese art has the ears drawn by the chin/jaw instead of the eyes.
The action and lustrous swaying can be as graceful as ballroom dancing/ballet. The paneling is like glass shards from a chandelier, very comely. I like how officially (almost British) he speaks and the rare Edwardian tie and shirt tips, his long fingers and he actually can be quite complimentary when he sees bravery. It's unique he even helps her w/ her fear of heights (though the pace could be a tad better though I get it's teasy). The author's note at the end says the S is for sadistic, but I don't find him to be malevolent at all. He understands his boss and her goals well enough and gives her plenty of outs.
Likewise, it's nice how Miku is so dedicated to helping her family and overcoming fears of all sorts. She's not a typical damsel personality-wise, more 3D in that. I like how she studies even porn in a methodical manner. It's interesting we never see the benefactor the butler is "training" her to be mistress to. Surely, he'll be nowhere near as charming or good-looking, right?
"I wasn't expecting to get sex lessons from a super-hot butler!"
Well, you can't accuse this book of burying the lede, but as with the other series I'm reading by this author (Teach Me Love), Ai Hibiki hides a little bit of positive affirmation within an otherwise kinda cringey story about a young woman who offers herself as a mistress to a rich distant relation because of her Debt Dad. In this case, that positive message is about consent and speaking up about what you want. As silly as the rest of the book is, I can definitely get behind that.
I only gave 2 stars because the first 3 books were amazing! But as soon as that 4th book hit, lets just say i wanted to sell and get rid if the whole series after i found out what happens. *SPOILERS* Miku(FL) doesn't even lose her virginity to the Male lead! It is to some random guy, and she has sex with a few before she even has sex with ML, who has been the teaser for 3 WHOLE VOLUMES. All for what? To be "equals" as she put it? Will not be buying anymore books from this author or of this series.
All I can say is that I could never be the female lead of this manga, because I would never try to settle a 50 million yen debt for dad and my delusional mom that stays with him. They would never see me again and they'd have to settle it themselves. Aside from that, I have a feeling that the butler is the actual powerful man seeking a mistress, otherwise maybe the son of that powerful man. Maybe I'm wrong, but I will see this series through to find out.
Miku is desperate to save her family, but it won't be as easy as she hoped. She'll need to ace "mistress lessons" to reach her goal and gain the experience required to earn the money her family needs. For all that her teacher comes across as uncaring and harsh, he's surprisingly understanding and gentle when he finally makes a move. The story itself is highly sexual in nature, so pay attention to the mature rating on the back.

S stands for spicy (and Sadism, and Shitsuji (butler), and Sougo...")
This was definitely...explicit. You'll be clutching your pearls as you read. I don't like the art style of the female protagonist, although the premise of the plot is risqué and intriguing.
Absolutely scandalous and an interesting recommendation. I just wish I liked the art style better.

This is as ridiculous as you’d expect from the blurb. The plot doesn’t make sense and it’s mostly “oh noes” steam that is umm not resolved by the end of this volume. I will continue reading, but not because it’s High Literature
you change the guy to a member of one direction and you've got yourself a 2011 wattpad fanfiction
"oh no, my father sold me to one direction to pay for his gambling debts. i hope one of them doesn't fall in love with me, esp not the bad boy with glowing green orbs."
I really really liked this. 🥰 It felt so unique! Not the most amazing storyline, but the level of communication between the guy and girl is so fun to read. I've only ever read maybe one other manga like this. Will be continuing!!!
This manga was a real eye-opener about not trusting the cover and the necessity of checking the plot before buying. The premise turned out to be ridiculous, and I have no interest in stories that feature sadistic male characters. It's a definite no from me.
3.5 rounded up. Listen, kind of ridiculous premise, but who doesn’t love a hot, dominant butler? This first volume was a bit whatever, but I’m invested.
I don't expect much since I really didn't like Hibiki's other series... this one starts out ok and I find the premise interesting, so we'll see how it goes.
Rough start to the series. The dub con isn't the worst I've seen, but still semi uncomfortable. I can tell the relationship transition will be good so I'm going to give it three volumes.
