The Gods were threatened the moment they laid eyes on me. Refusing to share their power at Ravencrest University, they did everything they could to break me.
The feud between our crime families started before I was born. It continues to this day, making Havoc, Gage, and Knight my enemies. After getting kicked out of private school, I’m stuck attending Ravencrest University. I take the Gods’ twisted abuse, hitting back every time, encouraging them to do their worst.
And they do. Right up until the moment they kill me.
Or so they think.
Faking my own death makes the Gods believe they succeeded in taking things past the point of no return. Now that they’ve let their guard down, I’ll take my revenge, and they’ll never see me coming.
There’s just one problem. Someone knows I’m alive. Now I’m being stalked and blackmailed. I didn’t survive the Gods to let a mystery person ruin my plans. I’ll do anything it takes to finish what I started.
This is a dark bully/enemies to lovers romance with multiple love interests. This series contains dark themes and abuse. Please check the content warning in the foreward. For readers 18+.
Please This book was originally published under my pen name, Ember Vale.
I am the author of the Alexa O’Brien Huntress and the Rebel Heart series. I write urban fantasy that is dark and gritty with a twist of romance and horror but which is ultimately about people in dark places discovering who they are and what they’re made of.
I’ve been writing since the age of 9 when I had a Christmas themed short story published in the local town paper. A lover of rock music, vampires and muscle cars, I’m a dreamer who always secretly wanted to be a rockstar.
I love to hear from readers so don’t hesitate to drop me a line.
“you’re ours now, raina. this will be a lot easier for all of us if you accept that. we’ll find the person messing with you. in return, you will take care of our wants and needs. but make no mistake, we will worship you like our goddess. that’s what you are now.”
^ and that’s the moral of the story folks!

this was wild to say the absolute least and just wasn’t for me.. the only reason i didn’t dnf was because the plot was intriguing and i had to know who did it LMAO but everything else is a big phat no ma’am for me. i didn’t connect with any of the characters. whatsoever. u may be wondering what compelled me to want to read this book. welllll i saw someone post about this book on an ig reel and i just decided to full send that shit and start it barely knowing anything about it. (so don’t be a dumb idiot like me and READ WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT ALONG WITH THE TW) i went into this not knowing there was gonna be 3 love interests and yeah that already would’ve been my sign to run for the hills. yes it’s my fault i know.. like i have read some books with some crazy men in them but for me personally this was just bad.
SPOILERS AHEAD PROCEED WITH CAUTION
things i didn’t like.. AT ALL.
so first off: they kidnapped her, took her to the woods, then basically played a game of tag? but psycho version where if they catch her they’re gonna do something to her. yeah well they caught her then they restrain her on the ground to tattoo the letter “G” on her for what they’re known as at the college they go to, “the Gods.” because now all three guys “own” her. and there’s more but yk if ur curious go read it! listen i love me a possessive man but-
next we have: one of the three guys breaks into her dorm while she’s sleeping and then holds her down while he just casually jerks off all over her. he really said lemme mark my territory. ew that was indeed my 13th reason.
then! they really drug her with a date-rape drug at a party.. then all three guys F her infront of a bunch of other guys.. to prove they (here it comes again!) "own" her. i hated that so much. i’ve honestly never hated reading anything more than that scene..
oh and my fav part! they put a collar on her.. if ur into that you do you boo boo but for me that’s a hard pass i am not tryna b yo dog <3
”we cant watch your every move, raina. this will help us keep you safe.” “keep me safe? do you hear yourself? i’m not a cat or a dog, havoc. i am not your pet.” “you are now, doll. be good and put on your collar.”
If heirs had a mafia-style prank war at college and the MMCs pranks all involved spicy times, this is it.
Started with a great concept and Raina, our FMC, seemed strong and capable. Unfortunately, she talked a big game but didn’t have the skills to back it up.
The FMC and MMCs are not hard, calculating, or ruthless. They all know or want to be part of the mafia empire but apart from one cash pick up, they’re really not involved.
Oh, and throw a stalker in at the end for good measure.
I won’t be continuing the series.

Nice to see a Mafia princess who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty!
Raina is our FMC and immediately she's getting expelled from the school she's in - despite the reason she beat the boy up was self defence. The fact she's Desmond Monroes daughter precedes her and can hang over her in many ways.
Going to a new school, she's already instantly known. And HAVOC, Gage and Knight, known as the God's, make it known it's their territory.
Unfortunately - or fortunately - I dont know, this tit for tit goes too far. To the point of Raina faking her death to make the gods feel guilty and allowing her to get the ultimate revenge on each of them.
But it doesn't work out right....
Theres a stalker after Raina and her initial thought of it being them is wrong....
Then to confuse things a little more, rather than marking the line in the sand to make the point of them vs her, they claim Raina as theirs. Protect her. Move her into the house. Be over possessive of her.
Considering they're meant to be Enemies this is a little confusing, I but I'm hoping we' ll be enlightened in the next book!
Its not out yet (aarrgghhh!!!) And I hope it is soon I hate the wait in between!!!!! 🙈🙈

This is the first book of the Gods of Ravencrest. Definitely read the trigger warnings if you have any, cause they are probably in this book. That being said, this is a down and dirty read. On a scale of 1 (tame Amish romance) to 10 (the spicy has you squirming in your seat), this story rates at 15! And I am here for it!
I wanted to like this but Raina bugged the crap out of me. You can’t describe this chick as badass that knows kickboxing and, not once, get away from The Gods, unless she distracts them with something sexual. To top it off, she’s always terrified and can’t even jump out of the way when about to get ran over. All she has going for her is the “fire” in her eyes and the empty threats.
DNF'd at 60% Book club recommended this, saying definitely bullying but no dub con. Kindle did not bring me to the TW page so I trusted them. I should not have trusted the group. 60% through the book, and it was ONLY dub con - actually, there was also some straight up non con. Not cool. Read with open eyes!
This is a really well written book. But I don't enjoy sexual assault by the MMCs and it's happened twice now and I'm only 43% of the way in. It's gross and not romantic. Trigger warning would have been nice.
Let me start this off with saying I LOVE dark romance its basically all i read.
This book is just abuse. I read the entire series of the gods thinking they'd actually treat her decently at some point they don't. 99% of the book is non-con but the author tried to make it seem like dub-con because she ends up liking it during. The FMC repeatedly tells them no they don't give her a choice in literally everything.
The first time they literally drugged her and forced her to. Every other time she is forced as well.
she is forced to do anything they say even outside of the "bedroom" they don't let her have an opinion and punish her over every small thing.
The author basically did what 50 shades did and glorified abuse.
The FMC was supposed to be strong and bada** but she wasn't at all after the first few chapters of book 1. I guess that somewhat changes in book 3 but not really.
The plot is everywhere and in general just didn't make sense. There are parts that get talked about that don't even happen. Book 3 is based around it.
0/10 would recommend this book to anyone. I'm down for twisted romance but this was basically Stockholm syndrome in its grossest form and why FMC never told her dad anything.
So i didn't know what I wanted to rate this, but it was SOOO messy (in the not good way) that I had to keep reading.
There's no communication, just vibes and assumptions.
The characters are supposed to be over 18yo but they read like 15yo. The FMC is TSTL ( Too Stupid Too Live). The storylines are all over the place. When the FMC faked her death, she was all over the place running around, and she was surprised she had a "stalker" who knew she was alive. Random storylines about their dads and drama. (“I heard they’d formed a partnership a long time ago,” she said. “Havoc and I weren’t even born yet. According to my father, it all went south when Maverick killed his own best friend and pinned it on my dad to break the deal and start a war. He thought he’d run my dad out of the city and take over. My dad refused to leave and held his ground. That’s all I know.”)
Dont feel any actual connections between the characters. Check TW because MMCs are with other women thru like 60% of the book while also being with FMC. FMC does kiss someone else early in the book. Theres alot of NonCon. They give her a tattoo by holding her down and also locked a collar with a tracker on her at the end. They claimed her because they didnt want to eventually kill her because you know mafia.

I’m comfortable with the themes in the book- they can make for an addictive series. However, the character development and storyline are lacking. Isn’t there a saying that insanity is doing something over and over again expecting a different result? Starting to feel that way. I’m going to read the second book in hopes that the characters start to develop and the storyline gets better .
I really hated the characters in this book. I can compare it to looking at something someone told you not to cause it was too gory or gross. That is where the problem lies. Even though I hated what happened in the book I can’t stop reading. The characters do everything that is disgustingly wrong with men now a days, but I can’t stop reading it. Like what will they do next. I will read the next one and I’m sure I will dislike it just as much lol.
If you like your heroine feisty and sarcastic with a touch of vengeance you care share my new bestie, Raina, with me. If you like your “heroes”, brutal, dark, and a little, or a lot, psychotic, well, I know of three that hit the mark. This story grabbed me from the opening line in the first chapter and held me tight. I cannot wait for the second instalment!
So I stumbled on this book after an advert on social media. However it just didn't have the depth of character and I honestly just didn't connect with them. The book had a good pace and some good dialogue but it just didn't keep me interested or build tension.
Raina is petty af, and I love it! I need more from her and the guys! What's going to happen in the end? So many questions that will have to wait for the next book and however many it takes to finish the series... I can't wait for more!
This book is a great read. It isn’t for the sensitive or easily triggered people. There is violence plenty of sex a lot of forcible play. It is a cliff hanger and leaves you wanting for more.
I like how it started off it was really good up till the three guys showed up I just feel like she couldn’t fight them like she was fighting the others I actually like that there was some consent that feel like was there some times. I like the book
Drugging someone with a date rape drug, dominating her when her free-will has been impaired and thinking that's acceptable sends a powerful message that a woman's body AND her choices are no longer hers.
Now started off in a bit of slow burn. Book was well paced. I love love love her. Finally a strong woman. That gave back as much as received. I never read a series of books back to back. It’s time for a first.
So I love the push and pull with the FMC and the MMCs. I enjoyed how powerful and feisty the FMC is and how she doesn’t take any sh*t. I’m excited to see how the story develops between the characters and the craziness going on in the series.
Well, it most certainly wasn't the worst thing I've read, though it was very Cringey.i'm honestly not sure how i feel about it. There's Abst in here that I liked and a lot i didn't like.
I enjoyed this hot story about rival mafia boss' kids at the same academy. They think they can use and humiliate her but she gives back as good as she gets.
I knew I shouldn't have started this book late afternoon! I couldn't put it down had to find out what happened before I could go to bed! The characters are so well created I feel like they are real, the kick ass FMC and hot as sin guys, oh my! 🥵The world is well built also, this author doesn't skip over important details just to add spice like a lot do.I'd say 🌶🌶🌶 of 5 in spice on my scale and definitely check trigger warnings so you arent surprised but it wasn't the darkest I've ever read, kinda mild to medium. The bullying actually didn't get too bad. This book keeps you guessing what will happen next and who is the stalker?! I definitely can't wait to see what happens next! 😫
