Anne McAllister has written nearly 70 romance novels for Tule Publishing and Harlequin Books.

She has won two RITA awards from the Romance Writers of America — for COWBOY PRIDE and THE STARDUST COWBOY — and has had nine other books which were RITA finalists.

Her books have also been finalists for the National Readers’ Choice Award. She was named Midwest Fiction Writers “Writer of the Year” and also received Romantic Times’ Career Achievement Award as “Series Author of the Year.”

But while the awards and sales are wonderful, Anne thinks the best part of writing is telling the story. With every new book she writes, she meets new characters – or gets to know old ones even better – and discovers what makes them and their relationships tick.

It’s the relationships that interest her most and the question about “where do you get your ideas?” has always astonished her as she has more ideas than she knows what to do with!

Re Finn's Twins! - Anne McAlllister kicks off her New York, New York series with a cute story of a nice girl and a nice guy falling in love while sharing the care of two adorable 6 yr old plot moppet twins.

This is the first of six books that AMcA sets in New York City and we will get lots of dual POV's and interesting stories along the way.

In this case the h is the neighbor of the H's spoiled, neglectful younger sister. The woman is used to being completely irresponsible in her quest to find the perfect man and frequently calls on her older brother fashion photographer to sort her messes out.

This time the sister is convinced she has found her 19th One True Love and this time it will last forever. But she has six year old twin girls she needs to schlep off on someone to chase after her man.

The H is the twin's uncle, that they have never met and the sewer leech sister knows a chump when she sees one, so the girls are shipped off to NYC with the sister's neighbor, to be delivered to their unknowing uncle's care.

The h is traveling to NYC to meet up with her wealthy fiance. (A very nice man who will be the H of the next book in the series.) The h gets to the H's home and studio and the H is in shock that his sister is irresponsible enough to dump her kids on him. Tho she does thoughtfully provide signed guardianship papers, giving the H complete custody of her girls.

The h is all set to go off and meet her fiance and try to figure out a way to fit into his wealthy life, but the H begs her to stay and help him with the girls until he can find a nanny and he will help develop a wealthy woman fashion style in return.

The h agrees to help out, as the H is seriously clueless and over the weeks that follow, everybody falls in love with everybody else.

The H finds he likes his nieces and they like their uncle and everybody likes the h. The h gets a makeover by the H and his fashion models and some social polish. When finally a new, kind nanny is selected, the H manages to get the h and girls off to the wilds of the Grand Teton National Park under the auspices of a fashion shoot.

The H is determined to win the h to his side and so he stages a seduction and unicorn grooming licenses are revoked for ever. The H doesn't consciously believe in true love forever tho, he had a very neglected childhood, and his remarks after the big passion event lead the h to believe he was just looking for a little fun.

The heartbroken h returns to NYC and breaks things off with her Extremely Nice fiancee, while the H and the twins go back to the H's home and pine. The h returns to her home in San Francisco to have a mopey moment until the H chases her down and declares True Love Forever. (The h's Extremely Nice ex-fiance helpfully gave the H the h's home address.)

The donkey dropping sister is quite happy to abandon her kids to the h and H's care, the nieces are happy they finally got some decent parents and the H and h are in pink sparkly True Love Bliss for the non HP HP HEA.

This one was cute, but it wasn't HPlandia cute, more like a moderate HRtopia. Plus there is the very Tacky Cheating on the Extremely Nice fiance, which was not a happy moment for me.

So if you like mostly fluffy family drama with adorable plot moppets that steal every scene and don't mind tacky cheating moments, this is a good one to read.

If you want a real classic HPlandia outing, with all the usual trainwrecky accouterments, you probably want to select some other HP voyage and give this one a miss. Everyone was nice and it was clear they were all just visiting HPlandia.

It was a quick cute fun read,Finn is a photographer, his sister Meg sends her daughters Tansy-Pansy(poor girls felt bad for them such weird names)to him with Izzy and a letter in which she says she is given him the custody permanently to him which angers him but yet he takes them and strikes a deal with Izzy(she is engaged to Sam Fletcher who is a rich man and Izzy feels she is not good enough for him) that he will give her the makeover so that she can impress Sam's mother and she can fit into Sam's world in exchange she will help him look after the girls till he hires a good nanny, from here their journey towards love and HEA begins

Finn-Izzy were great characters, they are attracted to each other but since Izzy is engaged to Sam which is a big hurdle but them Izzy accepts her love for Finn and breaks off with Sam and Finn also realises and accepts his love for Izzy and these two confess their love for each other,Tansy-Pansy are really happy cause they wanted Izzy to be with Finn and they got their wish and finally two loving parents

I was really angry at Meg how can she, such a selfish creature,if you have brought another life into the world then be prepared to sacrifice and accept responsibilities and motherhood with full heart, and if she was not prepared why did she brought not one but two lives and then ignoring them and finally abandoning them and dumping them on your brother

Really enjoyed all moments between Tansy-Pansy and Finn, how they bond and start loving each other and Finn along with two cuties and Izzy form a family of their own

I am eager to read Sam's story next

Good read

A cute fun read with AM's trademark sense of humor. It's about Finn, a fashion photographer living in NY, who, because of a childhood lived in foster homes, doesn't do marriage or children. imagine his shock when he gets burdened with two twin nieces and Izzy, his sister's neighbor who brought the girls to him. It was fun to see how they intimidate him as much as he intimidates them, and how they get along bit by bit. I liked that each twin has a particular personality and Finn has to deal with each one accordingly.
Finn thinks of the best arrangement : he will help Izzy remake herself and she ll help him with his nieces till he finds a nanny. I liked how Finn, who is surrounded by sophisticated models, comes to appreciate Izzy natural beauty and grace. The only problem : Izzy is engaged to another man, Sam Fletcher ( who has his own story in Fletcher's Baby )

Izzy is on her way to New York to surprise her fiance, Sam. Her neighbor has asked her to take her twin daughters along with her and drop her off with their uncle, fashion photographer, Finn MacCauley. But to her surprise, Finn had no idea he was about to become baby-sitter to his six-year-old nieces...and it gets worse, because their mother has actually given him custody while she goes off to find love. Finn has no idea what to do with two little girls that he manages to terrify with his very existence, so he makes a bargain with Izzy. He'll help her become a bit more high-class to feel like the equal of her uber-rich fiance if she'll stick around a little while longer to help him care for the twins. He doesn't expect to fall for her and she certainly doesn't expect to fall for him...she has a fiance for goodness sake. But that doesn't stop either of them from imagining a life and family with them and the girls.

My initial reaction to Finn reaction to having to take care of two kids was complete and total sympathy. His reaction felt so real to me. If my brother dumped his kids on me like that, I'd have been grouchy and resentful and I don't think I'd really think twice about the kids knowing it...that's how angry I'd be. Finn does come around eventually and realize that it's not fair to take it out on the girls, but I totally felt where he was coming from. As for the romance, I was quite turned off by the fact that Izzy basically cheats on her fiance. It wasn't so bad at first because it was just tension, with them sharing an attraction and one kiss before she meets up with Sam and tries desperately to forget Finn. But in the meantime, Finn is becoming insanely jealous and becoming a bit of an ass and Izzy can't figure out why...and Finn just gets even grouchier. This was still all okay and I didn't mind it so much. But I didn't care for the fact that Finn decides he's going to show Izzy that she doesn't really love Sam by seducing her out of her virginity (he loves her by this point but hasn't really admitted it to himself, so he's totally doing it for selfish reasons). I also didn't care for the fact that Izzy goes into their night together fully cognizant that technically she's still in a relationship with Sam. Yeah, I suppose she figures they're done anyway, but that's not a betrayal you take as lightly as she did - you end it with the first guy before moving to the second. And if the second guy isn't willing to wait to get in your pants, he's not worth giving up the first guy. And Sam really was extremely sweet and nice and did not deserve the shaft that Izzy gave him. But I'm glad they all got their HEA and that Izzy and Finn didn't immediately get what they want after their morally ambiguous behavior. I also really liked the twins - they were cute little tykes without being annoying or over the top.

Spoilers!!!! (This is part 1 of a series of books set with New York Ties) The book starts almost immediately with a set of 6 year old twins being sent to New York to live with their Uncle....an uncle who has never met them and was definitely not expecting them! The twins were being escorted by a next door neighbor(our h) who was on her way to visit her Fiancé. Of course she couldn’t leave the twins with their bachelor, unprepared uncle alone...and unbeknownst to her, the fiancé was away on business. The twins have a close relationship with Izzy the heroine so that helps! Our h looks a like a hot mess so the H decides to set her up with his people so she looks the part of a woman ready to marry into old money society.
She is transformed(of course). She had all the right equipment, but being raised by an old sea captain probably didn’t give her the best sense of style. Our h and H spend lots of time together and he begins to bond with the twins as well as the heroine. Meanwhile, the h is convincing herself she loves the fiancé even though she dreams about our H and shared the most passionate kiss ever with him. The fiancé is back in town and this is causing massive jealousy for our H. So our H plans a work trip(he’s a photographer )with the twins and the temporary nanny otherwise known as our heroine. So they head out to Wyoming where the h and H share a bed every night, holding each other “platonically” but that’s not cheating on her fiancé so it’s all good🙄. Then the H plans a huge seduction scene with our virgin h....it works. However, the h is so overcome with her feelings for the H she starts sobbing. The H takes the sobbing as a bad sign, says he’s sorry, jumps out of bed, and tells her she can take a shower...this looked like a wham, bam, thank you mam to the h. So, without communicating, she leaves to go back to San Francisco. Before she leaves, she tells the fiancé she can’t marry him as she loves another. He admits that love between them was more brotherly sisterly. The fiancé is a good guy...he’s the H of the next book! After the H talks to his sister on the phone, he runs to San Francisco to claim the love of his life...it’s an HEA for everyone(and a satisfying ending!)

AMOR DIVIDIDO

Argumento:

Loved this one, heroine get the heroes twin nieces to him, he's shocked and un-prepared, he's a fashion photographer. Tells her to stay till he can make other arrangements and he can glam her up a bit for the wealthy life his fiancee has.
