I really enjoyed this book. We took it out of the nonfiction section of the Children's library area, and have been reading it nightly over the past 2 weeks. Liam has enjoyed it as well. This book provides a look at a moon's timeframe in the life of 3 different animals - a young buck in CT in September (during a hurricane!), an alligator in the FL Everglades in October, and a wolf pack in Alaska in November.
The writing is at a good level for Liam and he is fascinated by animals and nature. I read all of this one to him, but I think we'll have him read at least one story in each of the rest of the books to us.
Ms. George has put out 3 other seasonal nonfiction books: Winter Moon, Spring Moon and Summer Moon; we will look for all 3 at the library.
