This is not so much of a book to read, but more of a good reference guide to identify and learn about shells you may find during a trip to the beach.

This is a book you have to keep around for multiple references. There is way too much info to memorize! The pictures are good for identifying. I did learn some new things by looking through it.

The recent update reprint must be a lot better, without the old black & white photos.
