This is a short collection of stories about historic and quirky events that have occurred in New York city and state. Published initially in 2000 this book is overdue for a new edition to include more recent events that have happened in the last 20 years as the last entry happened in 1996. As a devoted Yankee fan I would like to see mention of their 4 world championships in 5 years and of course there is no mention of 9-11-2001. It is still a good read with a section of interesting trivia and facts at the end.

I enjoyed this book. I have been to NY a couple of times now and enjoyed reading this eclectic collection of stories about hings that have happened there. This was a great addition to my souvenir book collection. It will definitely help me to remember this weekends trip into the city.
