This was the first poetry collection I ever read and maybe it wasn't the best to start with, but it was nice to read one or two poems at a time during my classes or in the morning after getting up. It shows all the different sides of the relationship between a mother and a daughter, but I was touched by exactly three poems out of 80. That's not so much and that's why I gave it only a B-. But I have to repeat that the message behind the book gets cross to the reader perfectly, some poems were just too abstract to me. While reading I found myself wanting to write a poem to my mother for Mother's Day, it's really inspiring and got me thinking a lot about my relationship to my Mum. The poems show not only the good sides, but anger, misunderstandings, ignoration and fear and I want to share some inspiring thoughts with you.
