Let's Go publishes my favorite travel guides. It's written by college students so emphasis is on fun, spontaneity, off the beaten track, etc. They make traveling on a budget more fun than bouncing from one $$$ to the next.

We found a lot of errors in this book, as well as outdated information and a few notable activities/places that they missed entirely. No guidebook can be comprehensive or completely error-free, but it looks like for New Zealand the Lonely Planet guide is a better way to go.

This line of travel guides are awesome, I'd recommend them over Lonley Planet any day. They take you to places a little more off the beaten path. I have th Vietnam one too and its fab.

Pretty good on things to do and places to stay, could have done a better job on restaurants.
