It's the first book in the Starseed series, and it introduces us to these cool intergalactic beings and their squad.
The story's got loads of suspense and plot twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. But what's super cool is the romance between Zhang and Simon – it’s full of intense moments that'll give you goosebumps.
Chapter eighteen presents a lighthearted moment where Simon and Zhang participate in a sex cultivation training session focused on intimacy and emotional connection. Here, they explore the art of kissing, learning about the nuances and emotional depth of a simple kiss. This chapter, with its blend of humor and tenderness, is particularly suitable for adult audience, offering a gentle introduction to the themes of love and connection.

The author does an amazing job of developing these characters and bringing in a bunch of others, making the story rich and engaging. The book is significant not only for its erotic content but also for how it showcases the characters' emotional connection. It adds depth to their relationship, going beyond physical attraction to illustrate a profound and loving bond. This MM romance is a fresh take in the sci-fi romance scene and it's done so well.

This book was amazing from beginning to end!! The writer does an amazing job with descriptions because I was able to fully visualize and feel like I was in the story. Definitely a must read. I am already looking forward to more stories from this author!! Keep them coming please!

This book most definitely lives up to its title. "The Wild & Zany Galactic Adventures of Commander Zhang & Lieutenant Simon" takes you on a wild that blends elements of romance, adventure, and metaphysical exploration.
Right from the start, this book hooks you with a seriously intriguing setup. Picture this: Zhang, once a big-time celebrity, is now dealing with government blacklisting and media drama. And just when you think his life couldn't get any wilder, in walks his ex-boyfriend, Simon, on a mission to uncover corruption and boost Earth's consciousness. I mean, talk about an attention-grabbing hook!
I also love how the book effortlessly blends Earthly drama with these out-of-this-world cosmic concepts. I mean, as you keep reading, you dive headfirst into this cosmic realm, meeting all sorts of fascinating characters, even bumping into Ascended Masters, and exploring some deep spiritual concepts. Plus, the way they slowly unravel Zhang and Simon's higher incarnations and their whole mission on Earth? It cranks up the complexity of the story.

“The Wild & Zany Galactic Adventures of Commander Zhang & Lieutenant Simon, Soul Mates who Incarnate on Earth and Save the World” WAS SO GOOD. From the title it already manages to attract attention and once you read it, you’ll be delighted with the story, it’s quite different from the ones I have read lately, it takes readers on an amazing journey through the cosmos, with a mix of elements of science fiction, romance, adventure and humor, which makes you unable to stop reading it. This book has definitely become one of my favorites, it was a surprise that exceeded my expectations.
It’s a novel that I read quickly because of how addictive it is, the constant feeling of "now what is going to happen" is present throughout the novel, it presents us with a secret mission to expose corruption in the entertainment industry, government involvement, and the consequences of celebrity scandals. All that and more turns it from a typical romance or drama into a thrilling science fiction and conspiracy tale.
Our beloved galactic heroes, Zhang and Simon, are a dynamic and interesting duo. Certainly, they were my favorites, the tension going between them feels very real. Fluff, smut, angst was all present and was pretty much in appropriate amount to my liking. Their contrasting personalities, their connection, passion, and the care they show for each other really stole my heart, they have a lot of chemistry.
The author's writing style is captivating and addictive, the setting is so well done, to detail in describing the different technologies, and settings showcases the author's incredible world-building. It also addresses real-world issues while weaving them into a sci-fi narrative. And will discover the mysteries and challenges that lie ahead for Zhang and Simon.
I really appreciate and loved reading this novel, it was a fun experience. It Would definitely stick with me for a while. 10/10 would recommend to read.

4 out of 5: True to Its Title, & Add Horny Adventures
I love gay sci fi and this series took me on some enjoyable adventures. And this book made for an excellent start. I particularly got into the world-, or if you will, cosmos-building. There was a nice variety of creatively imagined worlds, aliens, space travel, technology and missions, as well as the cultural and spiritual elements of reincarnation, awakening and consciousness raising.
That latter element was actually aided by all the sex. I liked how the sex wasn't just for sex's sake, but was interwoven and part of advancing the story line, in that it helped the two MCs and others rise to higher levels of consciousness. Those scenes were so plentiful and hot, I would suggest the title start with The Wild, Zany & Horny Galactic Adventures ..., lol.
I also liked the story line, especially the extended mission to Earth and all that that involved. And while the two MCs carried out their missions, there was also some light humor with a mix of mischief, antics, kindnesses, learning on the job, innocent and not-so-innocent mistakes, all making the two soulmates more "human" if you will, and thus making me like them all the more.
The one thing I had to get used to, though, was all the jumping around in time, space and missions. The author even says in their forward in book 2 that the non-chronological manner is "a device to assist readers in breaking free of the paradigm of needing to rely on things progressing in a linear fashion." I wonder if it was actually written chronologically and then jumbled up later to challenge us. Well, it took some time for me to learn to go with the flow, but still at the beginning of some chapters it was a bit inconvenient having to figure out when and where the heck I was.
That said, I enjoyed the continuity of the chapters about their mission on Earth, and look forward to reading more about these adventures in book 2.

Commander Zhang and Lieutenant Simon are soul mates on the mother ship Athena. The two travel about the galaxy on missions but somehow also manage to find themselves in a variety of quirky situations. They volunteer to be reincarnated on earth to help it ascend. Unfortunately, one awakens and the other does not creating all sorts of trouble. The two are soul mates and that takes on new meaning as the story progresses.
I had a hard time getting into the story but once I did, I loved reading every page to see what would happen next. It does tend to go back and forth between present and past, but we learn so much about these two and their colleagues. If you are looking for something different, something filled with love, adventure and so much more, this one is for you.

I received an advanced copy of this book to read and review and WOW! That definitely was a wild and zany adventure! I love the unique way each chapter was written. And the two Soul Mates, Simon and Zhang? The crazy situations they get into, so hilarious! Simon, so Angelic and pure hearted and Zhang, sarcastic, funny and at times so 3D Human. I went from loving them, to wanting to clap both their heads together back to loving them again. This book was a pure joy to read.
I just purchased a copy for my Kindle Library. I am really looking forward to reading this author's next novel--hopefully more zany adventures on these two beautiful Starseeds

I wasn't at all sure what to expect from this one even after reading the blurb and I'm not a fan of "zany" comedy so I was a bit skeptical but the idea of a mix of science fiction and alien beings coming to Earth and getting involved with the media, fame and all its trappings sounded interesting. I'm so glad I gave this a chance. The characters are fantastic and really feel like aliens trying to figure out how things work here. The detail in the world building was perfect and made visualizing the events and characters as easy as watching a film. Let's hope we get more from this author in this world.

I dove into this book expecting sci-fi, but what I got was an absolute rollercoaster—equal parts cosmic adventure, queer romance, and spiritual awakening! Commander Zhang and Lieutenant Simon are both hilarious and heartbreakingly human, even as they battle galactic corruption and the darkness on Earth. The blend of real-world references with wild, imaginative settings kept me hooked, and I found myself rooting for their love and mission. The meta moments and satirical edge gave it a unique voice. If you like soulmates, starseeds, and a hefty dose of irreverent humor, this is a wild ride you don’t want to miss.

Absolutely wonderful. I’m smitten with Zhang and Simon. They are wonderfully zany and in love with one another. They have quite a few adventures on Earth and in space… they’re Aliens you see. And, they’re here as Chinese Pop Stars to help Gaya ascend. Misadventures ensue but turns out they get the job done. There’s a little bit of meditative guidance included. I highly recommend this story for anyone looking for a great and hilarious science fictional adventure. Yeah, science fictional is a real thing.

This book is one of those that you don't expect alot from the blurb but turns out to be bl**dy brilliant! We are introduced to Zhang and Simon, who are soul mates from another world whose mission is to save Earth. Well I was completely hooked with the storyline that was intense, full of suspense, action and twists and turns as well as oh so many romantic moments. I actually really liked the fact the MC's were an existing couple and their relationship was just so beautiful! So looking forward to more on their journey!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a story labeled “zany galactic adventures,” but this book surprised me in the best way. The mix of sci-fi tropes, spiritual concepts, and pop culture satire made for a fun, unpredictable read. I loved how deeply the author explored Zhang and Simon’s relationship—messy, passionate, and genuinely moving. The Earth mission angle gave the plot plenty of stakes, while the banter and bizarre scenarios kept things light. It’s rare to find a sci-fi book so fearless with genre mashups and heart. I laughed, I teared up, and I can’t wait for Book 2!

This book will take you for a wild, wild ride! I became obsessed with accompanying the two major characters on their journey. I found myself increasingly interested in being a voyeur and anticipating each and every paragraph. Truly this book has something for everybody. Love, ambition, and yes, off the hook sensual escapades. Spoiler alert- My favorite chapter is chapter 19. Get a glass of red wine and settle in for an evening of adventurous escapades.

This was a unique and different kind of story for me. I did have a little trouble getting into the mix of past-present-future travel (probably because sci-fi isn't my typical genre), but once I got used to that, it was a great story. I enjoyed the adventures, but especially loved the special and intense love Zhang and Simon shared. Soulmates through all time and space.

This book is definitely something different. It took a while for me to get into the story as there are some unexpected time jumps but when I did I had a blast. This story is philosophical, romantic and exciting and also very silly at times. I'm sure I still didn't get everything that was going on 'cause it was all over the place. If you consider reading this be open for a wild ride.

From the title it already manages to attract attention and once you read it, you’ll be delighted with the story, it’s quite different from the ones I have read lately, it takes readers on an amazing journey through the cosmos, with a mix of elements of science fiction, romance, adventure and humor, which makes you unable to stop reading it. This book has definitely become one of my favorites, it was a surprise that exceeded my expectations.
It’s a novel that I read quickly because of how addictive it is, the constant feeling of "now what is going to happen" is present throughout the novel, it presents us with a secret mission to expose corruption in the entertainment industry, government involvement, and the consequences of celebrity scandals. All that and more turns it from a typical romance or drama into a thrilling science fiction and conspiracy tale.
Our beloved galactic heroes, Zhang and Simon, are a dynamic and interesting duo. Certainly, they were my favorites, the tension going between them feels very real. Fluff, smut, angst was all present and was pretty much in appropriate amount to my liking. Their contrasting personalities, their connection, passion, and the care they show for each other really stole my heart, they have a lot of chemistry.
The author's writing style is captivating and addictive, the setting is so well done, to detail in describing the different technologies, and settings showcases the author's incredible world-building. It also addresses real-world issues while weaving them into a sci-fi narrative. And will discover the mysteries and challenges that lie ahead for Zhang and Simon.
I really appreciate and loved reading this novel, it was a fun experience. It Would definitely stick with me for a while. 10/10 would recommend to read.
