A bunch of reincarnated ancient Egyptians race around Denver (of all places), trying to find a relic that supposedly has supernatural powers (that are never defined and only used about once over the course of the novel), occasionally murdering each other in the process. Utterly lacking in anything approaching horror, but loaded with doggerel verse.
