This was incredible, As someone diagnosed with severe Borderline Personality Disorder that stemmed from intense trauma.
I am always apprehensive on "self help" but this is maybe the first self help book i was in awe with the entire time reading it.
This is just a booklet and extremely easy to go through and VERY readable. Which is a huge point for me because let's face it, if you're looking into a book dealing with childhood SA you don't want to have to look up a million scientific names for symptoms every two three phrases. But this one felt like a friend in paper form.
It gives you worksheets to exercise your feelings and thoughts and ways of self betterment on and THEY ARE AMAZING!
so simple yet so powerful; i found this to be an amazing beginning point, for a person struggling with mental health, recovering from abuse or someone wanting to understand a person who's dealing with all of it.
Some parts can be very difficult to go through but i took time and came back to it and i'm extremely grateful that i went ahead and gone through with all of the booklet, i found myself anotating, writing, marking and taking so many notes and even utilising the worksheets and trying the exercises. The exercises it offers might not work for everyone, yes. However this is a more than appropriate threshold for recovery.
