This is a very good beginners guide to hiking. If you are new to the sport, or just interested in taking a look into it, then this book is for you. I especially liked the section on hiking with children. It is very hard to find advice on what to do with your kids. This book finally approached the subject. If you know of any other books that talk about that, please let me know in a response. Thanks.
