What do I think? I think everyone should go read this book (but read the first one first because that's how things work) because it is... actually there is no word to describe it, so just go read it and then you'll understand how I can't write a review on it. A book so good I persuaded my friend to let me read the copy she had just borrowed from the library ten minutes ago because I needed to read it. So go read it. Otherwise I'll make Rufus Keller the Sixth come after you... yeah, that's right, I said it.

Like I said in book 1, this book keeps you guessing all the time. I love how the author makes it seem like everything is going fine, but then something bad happened and finally they figure it out. everytime the book reveals a hint, it adds up at the end. it is a very intriguing book and I think everyone should have the opportunity to read it.

it’s so funny to read this now and realise how my reading comprehension has changed. when i read it in primary school i thought it was so advanced and full of such amazing scientific theories and now i’m like ‘wtf? like that would even work’ a fun and easy read, definitely not for 20 year old me though

As with the first one, I give it 3.5 stars, but am sure that my students will rate it at least a 4.
Great beginning (exactly where the previous book left off), could possibly have been written as one novel, but this way it is easy to read, not too overwhelming for the reluctant reader and the crazy adventure continues, with lots of imaginative twists to the plot.

I loved this series. I would recommend it, personally, for children around 10 years old - I read it then and loved it! I don't think I would have enjoyed it if I had read it 3 years later though. But yes, this book was very good and I would definitely recommend it to someone in that age group!!!

starts right where the first one left off. the ending is so amazing. as a suggestion to Lizzie Wilcock maybe write a book for the fire ones, a book for the earth ones and a book for the wind ones.

An excellent finisher for the Extinction series although i do have to admit I was a little too 'old' for it.
