Islamism and the Future of the Christians of the Middle East

Rate this book
This is a sobering account of the ordeal of Christian Arabs of the Middle East in this era of Islamist radicalism. Although those Christians are leaving their homelands in record numbers, the author laments, the powers of the West have shown little interest in their fate.

Must read for anyone wanting to understand the Christians in the Middle East. Not all Christians are equal. Understanding why the Maronites cannot be lumped in with other Christians like the Copts was an eye opener for me. Learning the difference between dhimmi and free and the role they play or are played upon in their respective countries made sense once Dr. Malik laid it out.

I read this rather quickly, mostly because I couldn't put it down and outside of the notes and author bio it was only 59 pages. However, this short book is very informative about the suppression of Christians in the Middle East. It is an interesting look at what has happened and is currently happening that we in the West do not hear about but I really wish we did.
