The Government and Politics of the Soviet Union is a basic introduction to how the Soviet government is run. The book provides a useful glossary of Russian terms and abbreviations of Soviet political and administrative organizations that commonly appear without explanation in news stories and studies of the U.S.S.R.
Leonard Bertram Naman Schapiro was a British academic and scholar of Russian politics. He taught for many years at the London School of Economics, where he was Professor of Political Science with Special Reference to Russian Studies.

i'm still in the middle of this book. this author advised for thatcher. so idk the credibility on this book. but i'm still gonna read it anyways because why not.
