Dr. Myerson attempts to tackle the basic ideas behind the thoughts on personality at the time (early 1920's). He draws upon common knowledge of people and past patients to put together a rough sketch of what types of characteristics make up one's individual personality. While there are some major areas missing, and his views are skewed by his own personal beliefs, I feel he did a solid job for an early view of personality. I felt he left out a major section in the shifting of personality and characteristics of self through one's life, which should have been apparent even at the time of his writing.

A warning for those who want to just pick up this book for fun: This is collegiate and dry. Be prepared to take your time on it and have a highlighter ready.
