Sinclair Callahan is a trust fund baby.

Born into one of the richest, most notorious families in the country, the black sheep title was stamped on him from an early age. While the rest of his relatives earn their keep at the top tier baseball team they’ve owned for generations, Sin prefers spending his time and money on booze, babes and bad decisions.

Until all three land him in a coma, fighting for his life.

One year later, with a sober chip in his hand, he arrives at spring training ready to turn it all around. But when he meets the only woman who doesn’t recognize just who he is, he can’t help omitting a few important details … like his last name. No stranger to charming women, Sin uses one of his old skillsets to kick off what is sure to be an epic hookup.

But when she shows up five months after their brief Florida fling with a secret that will topple his privileged world, he might just lose everything he’s worked so hard to rebuild. Including a real shot at love with the sassy redhead that he’s been too much of a coward to pursue.

Can he shoulder the responsibility he’s always shrugged off? Or will he balk at the real-life complications and strike out completely?

Francesca Kade is an independent goal-getter.

As one of the only female strength coaches in the league, she’s used to invading the boys’ club. After putting up with being passed over and not promoted for a number of seasons, she’s finally got her shot.

A consummate professional with blinders on, there is no way anything will screw up all she hopes to achieve. Well, except for maybe the new employee with eyes the color of ocean waves and a smirk that’s the definition of sin. When they catch fire in the southern heat, it’s almost impossible to put it out.

Until she finds out that he’s her boss’s boss’s boss.

Burned from the betrayal and panicking with a fresh secret of her own, Frankie is shocked when she lands her ultimate dream job. There is no way she’s turning it down. But when she bumps into Sinclair on day one, all of the old feelings and new problems come hurtling at her like a baseball to the face.

Will she ever be able to trust that he’ll put both her and his responsibilities before his vices? Or will their differences cost them the game?

Check Swing is the third full-length sports romance novel in the Callahan Family series by Carrie Aarons. Told in dual perspectives, get ready to meet Sinclair "Sin" Callahan and Francesca "Frankie" Kade.

After almost losing his life due to his wild partying ways, Sinclair is determined to turn his life around. After one year of sobriety, he takes a job as the Assistant Video Production Manager for the Packton Pistons, his family's top-notch baseball team. He may not be the most qualified for the job, but he is resolved to prove that he deserves to be there. He will do whatever it takes to do so.

Frankie's hard work has finally paid off. She is now the head strength and conditioning coach for the team's spring training. This is one step closer to her ultimate goal of working with them full-time. There's only one thing that could possibly stand in her way, and that's the blue-eyed, sexy as sin, Sinclair Callahan. Will the exposed secrets and lies ruin their careers and the second chance that they've been given?

Check Swing is an amazing story of rising above in the face of tragedy, of hope and healing and love. I was absolutely blown away. This is truly a special read and not one that should be missed. I can't even put into words what I feel. Sinclair and Frankie stole my heart. I fell head over heels in love with these two, and I have no doubt that you will too. Five stellar storytelling stars!

Check Swing is the third book in Carrie's Callahan Family series. I have been eagerly awaiting Sinclair's book and Carrie did not disappoint.

I finished this book over a week ago and I can still remember every thing about it. And that it to me, says everything about the book and the author.

Sinclair is trying to find out what he wants to do with this life now that he has been sober for a year. He's had everything handed to him because of his family. And he's once again, given the opportunity that most don't get but this time he is determined to prove that he deserves to be there.

Frankie has been busting her butt to prove that she is just as good as her male colleagues when it comes to training and conditioning athletes. She's been given promoted to head strength and conditions coach for spring training, which is just another step closer to her ultimate goal – working with team during the season in their strength and conditioning department.

Sinclair and Frankie have an abrupt meeting but what makes it even more interesting is that Frankie doesn't know who Sinclair is. However, there is an immediate attraction on both their parts. They both were not wanting anything more than a fling as they both had other goals in mind. However, life never goes as we want.

Five months after they last saw one another, they meet unexpectedly again. And sparks fly – just not the kind you are thinking., They are so many secrets and lies that need to be dealt with. Will their second chance give them the opportunity to become more??

Carrie wrote this book so beautifully. I love how real and natural everything felt. This story is written from both Sinclair and Frankie's POV, which truly helps readers connect to each character. You get a feel for what each is going through but keeps the book flowing perfectly.

Carrie has delivered another exceptional sports romance to her readers. I cannot wait to see what she brings us next.

Carrie Aarons has become one of my favourite authors. I enjoy reading her books so much. On the one hand because of the fantastic writing, and on the other due to those amazing characters.

Check Swing had me from the first page. The storyline is so thoughtfully planned out, entertaining and full of surprises. The author did a great job capturing real-life struggles, creating enjoyable and human characters you can't get enough of. I loved how readers got a deeper glimpse into what Sinclair went through, the obstacles he had to overcome. Francesca is this smart, strong, compassionate and hard-working character. Also dealing with her own demons, she can show empathy for what struggles others might face. Which is why I think she's such a brilliant character. Sin and Frankie have found that true spark but fear taking down those walls. Their story is refreshingly honest. It looks at struggles many people face and what it really takes to overcome those.

Check Swing is the third book in the Callahan Family series and is my favourite yet! Sinclair and Francesca’s story was heart-wrenching in places, but shows that you can find your person in the most unexpected of places.

Francesca, or Frankie, is a strength and conditioning coach for the Packton Pistons baseball team’s spring training in Florida, her home state. She’s fiercely independent and is trying to prove herself in a male dominated industry, with her dream being to work for the team full time back in Packton, Pennsylvania. When she meets Sinclair, the new hire for the media team, she starts a friends with benefits, casual relationship with him, not realising he’s a Callahan, the black sheep of the family, and the son of the owner of the team. Sinclair has had a rough few years recovering from addiction and knows this is his last chance to make something of his life. He’s trying his best, but everyone around him is expecting him to fail, so when Frankie has no idea of his true identity, it gives him the opportunity to be his real self, with no expectations. They both open up in ways they never have with another person, so how will their temporary relationship end? When Frankie is left with something a lot more permanent, both are now hiding secrets, so how will they react when all is revealed?

Sinclair and Frankie are by far my favourite couple from this series so far, I loved their dynamic because they were both so guarded at the start, but fell so quickly, which almost made them even more right for each other. They connected on a deeper level, sharing an experience that was difficult, but they had both come out the other side. Although Sinclair hid his family name, I could completely understand his reasonings. He was trying his best to step out of the shadow of his past, and everyone around him knew what he was like before he was on the road to recovery, the playboy heir who spent most of his time partying, so finding someone who didn’t seem the old Sin, and could let him be the man he wanted to be was healthy for him. That’s not to say he hid his past from Frankie, he was open and honest from the start about everything to do with his addiction and the man he used to be, but it meant she could make her own judgements, and they weren’t skewed by what his old self. His vulnerability nearly broke me at times, because he was so hard on himself, but Frankie helped him realise how far he had come and that he could have everything he wanted in his future if he continued to work hard for it.

Frankie’s independence was one of my favourite things about her, and I related to her in many ways, especially as a woman in such a male dominated career, who’s always trying to prove that she got there through her skill and knowledge and not anything else. She was wary at first, wanting to keep the whole relationship casual because she knew there was a time limit on their fling, but she couldn’t help falling for Sinclair as he invaded her life with his charm and sweet talking. When life threw her a curve ball, she adapted but still followed her dream of being a coach in Packton, and I loved that about her, she never put her aspirations on the back burner, even when the easiest option would to be give in to Sinclair’s wants, she made him work to be in her life, which is just what the man who had always been given everything needed. Her strength and ability to do what was right for her was such a great character trait, I knew early on she would be okay on her own but she wanted Sinclair too, she just had to make sure he was in it for the long haul.

I can’t wait for the next book in this series, which I think got off to a slow start, but I am so glad I persevered and kept reading because Check Swing was amazing, Carrie has written about addiction and dyslexia so well. Ever since I read my first Carrie Aarons book last year, I haven’t missed a release, and that isn’t going to change any time soon!

Y’all know how much I love Carrie Aarons and every time I read another one of her stories I adore her writing even more. This one had my favorite trope so it had me hooked from the very beginning.

I was so freakin proud of Sin for turning his life around. In the last book my heart really ached for him. But in this book he found out what he wanted to do in life, his person, and the family he didn’t know he deserved.

Frankie is just a bowl of spitfire in the best way possible. She doesn’t take anything from anyone. It was so hard for her to let anyone in and when she does, she gets burned, but love is on her side.

The chemistry between them is just pure awesomeness. They act like best friends, but also lovers. They get each other in every level even the addictions they both struggled with.

Their baby coming into the picture melted my heart and it made me even happier getting to see Sin be a dad.

From the first page, Check Swing captivated my attention with its entertaining and thoughtful storyline...chock full of surprises that demanded I keep flipping pages!

No longer the party animal due to his wild lifestyle almost costing his life, Sinclair is trying to get things on track. While his behaviour might not make him the black sheep of the family anymore, he’s still struggling to prove himself. With a new job in the family business (one of the best baseball organizations in the US, the Packton Pistons), he sets out to do just that.

Frankie has just been promoted to head strength and conditioning coach for the team’s spring training...no easy feat for a woman, but if anyone can handle it, it’s this independent and feisty redhead.

For Sinclair and Frankie, it’s lust at first sight, but what was supposed to be nothing more than a spring training fling becomes so much more. When they have a second chance five months later, secrets and lies are uncovered, and the complications are endless. However, sometimes new complications result in the best things in life.

Feet sweeping and swoon worthy is what Sinclair Callahan ends up being...who knew?!

Carrie Aarons did a fantastic job writing about real life struggles and the subject of overcoming and healing from addiction, which made Sinclair and Francesca’s love story and hard fought HEA amazing from beginning to end.

***May contain Spoilers***

I really liked this third installment in the Callahan Family series. I loved getting a deeper glimpse into Sinclair and the obstacles he had to overcome and how he battled back when he hit rock bottom. Sin had to rise from the ashes of his former life/self. He had to not only fight his personal demons and addiction, but the damage caused to his reputation by the careless and reckless actions of his former self.

Francesca swoops in like a refreshing breeze from the surrounding ocean. She is beautiful, smart, tough, determined, and the hardest worker in the room. Frankie is great at what she does-whipping athletes into shape and honing their bodies for maximum performance without causing injuries. This fiercely independent and snarky red-haired beauty has been taking care of herself for a long time. She has her own set of demons and that allows her to be tough, yet compassionate and show empathy for the struggles others face.

This story is truly a winding journey. Sin and Frankie find that true spark, but fear feeding those flames and taking down the walls protecting their fragile hearts. Keeping your soul mate takes work especially when your normal is being a work-in-progress and finding healing your life.

I found this story refreshingly honest about the struggles many face and the steps it takes to triumph over them. It was so nice to catch up with Colleen & Hayes, Walker & Hannah as well meet new characters and/or get a deeper glimpse into some of the other family members.

Hands down Sinclair Callahan is my favorite of the Callahan family. Absolutely in love with him! Reading about him in Walker’s book I had a feeling that he was going to be my favorite!

Sinclair has come a very long way from his drinking and partying days. He’s a different person, but he still struggles daily to fight for his sobriety. He’s now holding down a job for the first time in his life, and trying to prove his more than what people think of him. I loved everything about Sinclair, and how he grew as a person. He’s stronger than he gives himself credit for, and is one of the most loveable hero’s I’ve read.

As for Frankie, she’s sassy and independent and I love her for it. She doesn’t take crap from anybody, and when she found out who Sinclair really was, I loved that she stood her ground and didn’t immediately let him charm his way back into her life. She made him work for it, and while at times it frustrated me, I admired her strength. They both have been through so much, and watching them both thrive in the face of adversity is admirable. No question this is my favorite book of the Callahan series so far!!

Check Swing by Carrie Aarons is another great installment in the Callahan Family series. This book focuses on Sinclair aka Sin Callahan, the black sheep of the Callahan family, and Frankie, an employee of the family's baseball empire. When Frankie meets Sin, she doesn't know that he's a Callahan, and he doesn't volunteer his last name. They begin a fun, commitment-free fling, and Sin lets down his walls to just be himself without his last name getting in the way. Feelings, insecurities, and then time and distance soon get in their way though, and when Frankie realizes who Sin really is, she's not sure that she can forgive his lies.

Check Swing was a quick, page-turner. I really liked both Frankie and Sin. In his brother Walker's book, Sin really was the lazy, arrogant, party boy. After a year of sobriety, we really see a whole other side to Sin and understand his insecurities and vulnerabilities. He really is a good guy and I loved how he stepped up for Frankie. This is a fun, flirty and heartwarming sports romance that you won't want to put down.

4.5-stars.

Check Swing by Carrie Aarons gives us Sinclair Callahan’s story and I was beyond excited to read it. We have gotten glimpses of him in the two previous books and know he is the black sheep of the family. Can he turn his life around after the events from the last book? Sin seemed to care about nothing, until he almost lost it all. Now he is walking a fine line to turn his life around when Frankie enters his life. She is just what he needed, but it was supposed to be fling. Imagine his surprise when she comes back into his life full of surprises.

I loved Sin and Frankie’s story so much. When they met they each had their secrets, but when everything changes, can they learn to trust in the other? I loved how much growth we saw in Sin. He was a good guy trying to deal with the bad choices he made in the past. Frankie is strong and determined. Can they find their happily ever after? I just loved their journey so much and highly recommend Check Swing by Carrie Aarons.

From Reckless and carefree to living life on the straight and narrow, Sinclair finally dives into the family business.
But he gets more than he bargained for when he (literally) runs into Frankie during spring training.

She is a force to be reckoned with, a feisty and fearless powerhouse.
A strong, independent woman who has worked hard to earn her position in the Callahan business.
What starts out as a no strings, fun and physical arrangement quickly morphs into “more”.
So when they part ways and they never expect to see one another again, they are both a little lost.

That all changes when Frankie is given a promotion and she is thrust into his world once more.

But Sin wasn’t completely honest with her, and it turns out she had been keeping a secret too.

Can they find their way back to each other? Or will their lies keep them apart?

This book was steamy, fun, and packed full of feels.
4.5 stars.

The addictions discussed in this book are real. They are hard, they are destructive. Mrs. Aarons tackles those topics in a very respectful and tactful way - I take my hat off to her for this.

Check Swing is the third book in the Callahan Family series from Carrie Aarons. A journey of redemption, finding love and the healing power of true love. This was a really emotional and sweet journey with some raw emotions. I have been eagerly awaiting Sin’s book since reading book one in the series. And Sin and Frankie’s story did not disappoint.

Check Swing is an emotional and heartwarming read. This one definitely got me going in so many ways. It was raw, emotional and real. I connected with the characters and the storyline. I really enjoyed every moment of the journey that these two characters took to find one another. A great read full of surprises, light hearted funny moments, humour and plenty of romance.

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Yes! It's finally Sinclair's turn! I love a good redemption story line and everything was set up perfectly for Sinclair's. He is finally taking his place in the Packton Pistons organization and this time he is ready for it. Sinclair wants to do a good job. He has been working on his sobriety and is trying his hardest to be successful. He's also been skating by on the fact that he is a Callahan and he knows he needs to stop doing that. Which is why when he meets Frankie, he doesn't tell her who he is.

Frankie is great at her job and she finally has her chance to show people that. Since she doesn't know who Sinclair is, she doesn't have any problem agreeing to the no string attached sexual relationship that forms between the two of them. She gets to do the job that she loves and then spend her nights with a sexy guy in her bed.

Seems simple enough, right? Of course not!

I enjoyed liked Frankie and Sinclair as a couple. They had great chemistry and even though neither of them wanted a relationship, they just kind of fell into one. They felt at extremely at ease with the other person and being with one another just felt right.

I liked that the book took a turn that made things complicated. That was when Sinclair really had to look at his life and figure out what he wanted. And Frankie, knowing that things could fall apart at any minute, had to be able to take the leap and hopefully get everything she ever wanted.

This is definitely my favorite of the series!

Check Swing is the third book in Carrie Aarons Callahan Family series and it is Sinclairs story.
We've met Sinclair throughout the previous book where he was heavily portrayed as the playboy, as the guy who is unreliable and can't keep a job for the live of him.

After a tragic accident Sinclair changes his life to the better. One year sober he starts working in the Callahan empire and meet's Frankie. A strong, indipendant women working in a man's world. She's fierce, strong and she doesn't back down easily.

Sinclair and Frankie are seriously perfect for eachother. They both struggeled with addictions and found a way out of their heavy past into a future filled with love.

I really enjoy this series by Carrie! It is low drama and it makes me feel good all over.

Rounding the base!

Sinclair Callahan is recovering from a crash that nearly killed him due to an alcohol addiction. As part of his recovery he takes a job at the families spring training camp. When he meets Francesca and realises she has no idea who he is, he revels in the anonymity. What happens when the truth comes out? What happens when feelings become involved? Can they survive the reality and build something real? This was a story that was a journey of love and growth. A story that made you hope they could find their way to a HEA they needed and deserved!

Check Swing is a wonderful read. I really enjoy this one. Sinclair has shown the most changes when it comes to the Callahan Family series. I love watching him go from the black sheep to someone you can count on. You get this better insight to why he was the way he was. He meets his perfect match when it comes to Frankie. She is snarky and I adore her so. You feel the pull from the start and the chemistry is smoking. You feel for Frankie and Sin as they go through all those misunderstandings and work on finding their footing. I loved this one so much and could not put it down.

Sin’s story did not disappoint!

After first meeting Sinclair and knowing his personality, I was anxiously awaiting his story. When his party lifestyle almost costs him his life, he tries to do all the right things to get back on track. I couldn't wait to see what woman brought him to his knees and Frankie was the perfect match for him. Their spring training fling turns into so much more and it was so perfect for these two.

Once I picked up this story, I couldn't put it down, staying up way past my bedtime to finish. I truly appreciate how this author dealt with addictions in this story. It was done very respectfully and with grace.

I love the whole Callahan family, but for some reason I just did not connect with Sin and Frankie the same way I have with the others. Don't get me wrong, I still loved reading their story and seeing how they got their HEA!

Watching Sinclair go from party boy to head over heals in love papa bear was just the cutest! I absolutely loved seeing the way he treated Frankie and was always trying to put her first even though he was fighting his own demons.

"I’m hoping that there will be more books in this series as I honestly don’t want it to end. Sinclair and Francesca’s story is one that will remain with me for quite some time. Sin’s addiction struck close to home for me as someone in my life struggled with this as well. It brought a lot of old feelings and emotions back to the forefront for me. It was somewhat bittersweet.
Frankie was a magnificent character to read. She ended up being my favorite out of the two. She worked hard for what she had and where she was in her career and didn’t back down on what was important to her.
Carrie Aarons has proven yet again why I try to get my hands on as many of her books as I can. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book."

So happy for Sin!

What a great read. One of my favorite things is strong female characters and that’s just what Frankie is. She’s tough, smart and a hard worker. Exactly what Sin hasn’t been. But now that he’s sober, he’s finally starting to learn to live.
These two are perfect for each other. They balance each other out and both have their demons. I really enjoyed the story and the chemistry these two have. I feel in love with these two and can’t get enough of the Callahan’s.

Y’all, another great addition to the Callahan Family series! I was really looking forward to Sinclair’s story because we all know I love a broken hero. After his accident and sobriety journey, I needed to see Sin get his HEA!⁣

Sinclair did something you don’t often see from a rich, former party boy - he willing started over, from the bottom, learning and putting in his time with the organization. I loved that he didn’t just expect to be handed something better because of who he was!⁣

Frankie is a female strength coach for the team gets her shot in the majors and I was here for it! We need to see more of this in real life too! What I loved most about her was that she stood her ground and didn’t immediately let Sinclair back into her life months after their fling. ⁣

⚾️ Small Town⁣
⚾️ Checking in with the other family members (looking at you, Hayes 😍)⁣
⚾️ Great chemistry!⁣
⚾️ Steamy moments

You should definitely check this one out, along with the rest of this series!

Absolutely brilliant! Loved Sinclair’s story. This is the 3rd book in the Callahan series and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

When Sinclair and Frankie first meet, she doesn’t know who he is, which for Sin is hugely refreshing; so much so he doesn’t immediately want to tell her the truth.

Sinclair is a bit of the black sheep of the family and has some growing up and making up to do, so when he’s given a new role within the Callahan institution he wants to prove himself.

Frankie is an independent boss lady! She’s feisty and determined, especially within a very male dominated sporting environment. She is also determined to prove her worth and skills and work her way up in her job.

I loved Frankie and Sinclair’s immediate chemistry. Together they were fantastic and I loved how the story developed with the surprises that were thrown in along the way.

Book 3 of the Callahan family does not disappoint!

Sinclair is the black sheep of the Callahan family, he's living off his trust fund, partying, and always disappointing his family until an accident nearly takes his life. He realizes he must get sober and be a contributing member of the family. He's sent to Florida to work in the marketing department of the family owned baseball team the Packton Pistons during spring training.

In walks Francesca (Frankie), a smart, driven, kick ass strength coach for their Triple A team and she's trying to prove herself in a male dominated profession. Day one of the job and they conveniently bump in to each other.

Neither one of them wants to be in a relationship so they start as friends with benefits. She has no idea he's a Callahan or about his past. He's able to be the man he's always wanted to be and as the weeks go on they develop a sincere love for each other but both are scared to admit their feelings. Spring training ends and he leaves without a word.

A few months later she's promoted to the big leagues and she has a surprise for Sinclair ...

Fast forward to Frankie and Sinclair are married with two kids. Sinclair recognizes that Frankie misses Florida so they decide she should train their farm team for half the year so they can split their time between Pennsylvania and Florida.

The more time Sinclair and Frankie spend together the more the feelings grow. Spring ends and Sinclair gets scared and leaves. Five months later Frankie gets a promotion and goes to Packton. Sinclair sees Frankie and they both have some secrets. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book

‘Check Swing’ is the third book in the Callahan Family Series by Carrie Aaron’s, and if you love small town sports romances, then these books are your jam.

Ever since I read about Sinclair ‘Sin’ Callahan in book two, ‘Stealing Home’, I fell in love with him. I mean, what avid romance reader doesn’t like a beautifully broken bad boy? I felt his pain, and I wanted so much to know more about the black sheep of the Callahan family. I knew there was a story just waiting to be told, and when Arron’s announced she’d been writing it, I was so incredibly excited and waiting on tenterhooks.

The book is about Frankie, strength coach to the Paxton Pistons, the baseball club that is renowned. She is strong - physically and emotionally - and is an absolute badass in owning her role in a heavily male dominant organisation. Her job is her focus, a promotion her goal, so when the devilishly handsome Sin bumps into her, she doesn’t expect to be bedazzled. He charms her, seems to want to play her game of casual, and she can’t help but feel completely enraptured by him.

Sin is now a year sober from the most horrific day of his life. Each day is a struggle, and ever since he has been on a path of striving to prove to not only himself, but to his family that he has changed. For once he wants to be a better man, to care, and to throw himself into working from the ground up for the Paxton Pistons and the stadium that runs in his blood. He never expects to run into a flame-haired woman that would slay him from the onset, but it’s a journey he is very much willing to embark on.

Frankie and Sin’s connection runs deep, they both know what it’s like to be addicted to something, and I loved how their addictive personalities made them become equally as obsessed with one another. They’re two people who have guards put up for the fear of what others may think, but when they’re together they become the truest versions of themselves, and it was truly beautiful. I felt their love, and I never stopped rooting for them.

But with Frankie not believing in soul mates, and both assuming they are up for casual no strings attached romance until the end of their summer, it creates a rather challenging situation. But when five months later they end up being reunited and back in each other’s lives, they both very much have something new to want to work and strive for.

I love how invested Sin becomes, how much he’s willing to fight for Frankie, but also how completely terrified he is to admit he’s fallen under the spell of love. They are stubborn and strong independently, and together they’re that all consuming explosive couple that you can’t help but crave to read more of.

This book was everything. Aaron writes sweet heartfelt romances which really resonate and hit all the right nerves. I become entranced by her characters, their quirks and flaws, and she makes it easy for me to visualise every scene as and when it happens. I love all of the books in this series, and each one can be read as a stand-alone or as part of one incredibly amazing heartfelt series. These are love stories that sit right and leave you fully believing in the power and magic of love, and I for one can’t get enough.

The perfect read for all small town romance lovers, and those who love unexpected pregnancy tropes. You will be obsessed!

From the first book of this series you get to see glimpses of Sinclair and you can already tell that he’s the black sheep of the family, the party boy and doesn’t take anything seriously. Yet, as you read on you see the components surrounding Sinclair unravel themselves and I honestly love how Carrie Aarons has written him. You can’t help but be intrigued by him from the minute you first hear about him as it’s clear there’s clearly reasons for the way he acts and chooses to do what he does, but with this book you’re able to dive in deeper and get to know the real Sinclair.
I honestly am impressed with the way that Carrie has handled this book because it’s clear she’s done her research and the issues that happen in this book are very real, but at the same time I’m hoping that readers (if they’re struggling with the same ones that both Sinclair and Frankie have gone through) are able to see that there is help available and that they’re not alone. I love how all of Carrie’s stories always have some type of message or meaning and most of the time people can relate to them.
I loved everything about this story and I honestly can’t fault it, everything just seemed to flow perfectly.
I’d recommend giving this a read because it’s such an emotional read, but you get to see how things are for Sinclair.

It’s been a year since Sinclair gave up the parties, gave up the drinking and has been left to greive and do what he needs to do in order to heal. However, time is now up and his father is sending him to the spring training over at one of the family’s facilities, he ends up meeting Frankie… but she has no clue who he is, which boosts his confidence up as for once he can just go about things and not be judge for who he is or where he comes from.
Both him and Frankie end up building a small relationship, but they don’t find the courage to tell each other how they truly feel, but they do end up opening up in other ways to each other and they both reveal their deepest secrets and it’s eye opening for Sinclair.
When the three months are over, Sinclair goes back home without a word, which breaks Frankie. However, Frankie has clearly been showing Colleen that she’s good at her job as she ends up offering her a promotion, one which she can’t say no to… So when she arrives in town, all ready for her first day at the Packton Pistons stadium, she’s in for a big shock as she’s been keeping a secret hidden, but when she sees Sinclair there she honestly can’t believe her eyes….
Will they be able to work things out or will Frankie turn back home and not stick with the job because of who Sinclair really is????

Check Swing is the third book in the Callahan Family series by Carrie Aarons. You can read as standalone but I highly recommend the series since they are all unique, beautiful, and amazing. I have been waiting for Sin’s story. The bad boy in the family. Just his name is swoon worthy and trouble.

Sinclair is the black sheep of the family. The party boy who can’t keep a job even when they are handed to him. His family ownsthe Packton Pistons, each member works for the team in some capacity. He hit rock bottom a little over a year ago and now it was his time to get in the game of life. One year sober and his father sends him to spring training to be an assistant video production manager. A job he didn’t earn but one he hopes to enjoy and stick with. What he wasn’t planning for was her. A woman who intrigues him from the moment he sees her. And, the perk was that she had no idea who he was. He hated not telling her, it let him be himself though. To not just be a Callahan but Sin. A man who made her laugh, hot and bothered, and have a spring training fling with.

That was what it was only supposed to be. Three months. No strings attached. Frankie didn’t want anything more than that but when he left, she was heartbroken. Now, she was in Packton with a promotion. She was excited about her new job. What she didn’t expect was to see him. And gets the shock of a lifetime when he is a Callahan. He might want to start fresh but can she trust him after lying about who he was? Was it all a lie? His feelings? His troubles? What else was he hiding?

I loved these two! Sin is more than anyone expected. I knew he was something but damn. And Frankie is a badass. She knows what she wants and doesn’t play around. They are both determined and motivated. Together, they are full of passion, love, and laughter. I am so hoping there are more stories in this series! I can see the next book...

Quotes:

Sinclair is trouble, that’s for sure. Just the kind of trouble I want to try several times before I know better.

“I wasn’t aware you were emotionally off-limits. Now my plan to get you to fall in love with me is thwarted.” She snaps her fingers as if to say aw shucks.

Like she said, trying harder is worth a lot. In this instance, it’s worth everything.

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Carrie Aarons!

Check Swing is the third book in the Callahan Family series and tells the story of Francesca and Sinclair. Although this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.

Sinclair is trouble, that’s for sure. Just the kind of trouble I want to try several times before I know better.

Check Swing is already the third book in the Callahan Family series! I still remember reading the first book like it was yesterday! The Callahan Family series is such an enjoyable series, and it’s more than just about sports. I think that Carrie Aarons is doing an amazing job with this series and I’m falling in love with all the members from the Callahan family! Colleen and Walker were such amazing characters, and I also really liked reading about Sinclair!

From the very first page, Check Swing caught my interest. I had to read more about Sinclair and Francesca. I was really interested in these characters and I was curious how this book was going to go. This book talks about addiction, which I think is an important topic. Addiction is still a taboo even though it’s a disease. I’m happy that Carrie Aarons decided to write about this topic. She also wrote about some important topics such as abuse and mental health in the second book, Stealing Home

Sinclair is the black sheep of the family but he’s finally sober and trying to be better. I loved seeing him grow in Check Swing. I also really loved reading his description of Francesca. I thought it was so cute and sweet. I really loved Frankie because she’s so sassy and she knows what she wants. I really think they’re so cute together, and I enjoyed reading their story.

Check Swing was another amazing Romance read by Carrie Aarons! I really love reading the books in the Callahan Family series. It’s such an enjoyable series, and besides the romance, the books also discuss some important topics. Check Swing was a fast paced read and I highly recommend this book, and the other books in the Callahan Family series. You will not regret reading these books!
