The Moody Atlas of Bible Lands integrates the geography of Bible lands with the teachings of the Bible. Its one hundred thousand words provide useful commentary for more than ninety detailed maps of Palestine, the Mediterranean, the Near East, the Sinai, and Turkey. Learn of God's protection and guidance by following Israel's forty-year sojourn in the wilderness. Appreciate the results of the Great Commission to 'teach all nations' by seeing the scope of Paul's three missionary journeys. Dr. Barry Beitzel has blended the topographical and historical in multi-colored maps that accurately reflect evangelical Christianity. Pages of timeless information aid in sermon preparation and in personal Bible study. The Moody Atlas is an invaluable asset to Sunday school teachers and to seminary and Bible college students. Text and unique maps make this one of the most useful and accurate atlases available today.
One of the best gifts you can give a graduate is an investment into their future. What better way to invest in their future than through giving them a resource that will last them a lifetime?!
The NEW Moody Atlas of the Bible is that resource.
This book is more than just a glorified book of maps found in the back of your Bible, it's full of current, full-color photos of sites and ruins from the Bible times. It also contains written history and explanation of the maps, pictures, and charts shown.
Technically it has 2 chapters, but each of them are broken into short sections on a specific time, event, or place. The Scriptural Index as well as the General Index make it easy to use and a wonderful addition to any Bible study of any depth. This atlas is a colorful guide to understanding the Bible in ways you have not understood it before and will be a book you refer to over and over again.

One of the best books where you can consult maps to make it easy for you to understand the Bible. In addition to the maps you can find the historical geographical nature of the land. The book is easy to read and the maps are clear with color and it is also easy to find whatever you look for from the index. Many thanks to Barry J. Beitzel
This is an enjoyable atlas to read, providing incredible maps, geographic insight, historical and political context, and chronological simplicity. Strange to say about an atlas, but this was easy to read and difficult to put down.
Extremely useful and thorough. I have the Zondervan Esv atlas as well and I like Moody's much better. They are organized in similar ways, but the Moody atlas is better.
